Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Louisville South, KY - Hotel in Shepherdsville - 400 Paroquet Springs Dr, USA

We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and had no complaints. However we just returned this past weekend and will not be returning again. 1)When we opened our room door it smelled musty. On the last day I found the mold that didn’t help with the smell. When we entered the room I received a text that said we would get housekeeping on the third day of our stay, the day we were leaving. 2) Like most people I prefer fresh towels after each shower. Remember, no housekeeping. When we left our room the first morning the hallway was lined with piles of dirty towels, bags of trash and loose trash that didn’t fit in the tiny trash bags. Walking down a hallway of trash and butt rags is not how I wish to start my day. 3) My husband figured we should follow others and sat our towels in the hall. When we returned to dress for dinner we did not have clean towels. I went to the desk and was told “she” is on her way with clean towels. “She” brought us two bath towels, no hand towels or wash clothes. 4) Out of the hotel’s control completely but the area itself has tanked. The seafood restaurant on the corner went from wonderful to over priced frozen food. It is however conveniently located to better restaurants with a 20-30 minute drive at most.

All in all not bad but could be better. Hot breakfast everyday was a plus, and I liked that there was a door between the living area and bedroom so that we could stay awake for a bit after we put our kids to bed. But the pool was closed the whole 4 day stay, and there was a big red sign on the door saying "Closed by order of Health Inspector". They also had a sign above the breakfast bar showing their low score, with the improved recent inspection above it. So that didn't exactly inspire confidence. I'm not upset we stayed here but it won't be my first choice if we come back.

Our room was larger than a normal hotel room which was great. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean. Just needed room for 1 might while we were traveling. Met our needs. Breakfast was fine,. They had eggs, biscuits and gravy, and waffles.!

Please for your health and safety read the low reviews and run. We booked through Expedia and the hotel has been a nightmare chasing a refund. We booked a last minute late night hotel while traveling through the area on a roadtrip. The photos looked promising but it's not safe to stay here. We checked in and went to the rooms to discover the strongest smell in our room and noticed the black mold everywhere immediately. There was human hair all over the bathroom walls and floor. The bed comforter, sheets, and pillows were damp and cold and musty, there's an infestation of stray cats out front near the lobby that walk up to you, the manager has been difficult to work with. The hotel manager only wanted to continue asking me why I didn't request another room when I advised on the health and safety protocols they're not legally following and putting peoples lives in danger while their entire HVAC system blows the deadly mold spores throughout the entire business and that I didn't cancel and that I showed up and was displaced due to my family's health and safety and unable to stay there. Thank god we didn't get to deal with the bed bugs and blood stained pillowcases that everyone else has reported and experienced here. Across the street is a bit pricier for a Hilton but worth it.

The hotel is nice and clean. The rooms are clean. The breakfast was okay. The pool area was nice and having excess to the outdoor sitting area is nice. Beds are comfortable. My only complaint is I couldn't enjoy the room ,let alone sleep. The air conditioning temperature would not get any cooler than 76 degrees! The front desk clerk came to check it, he turned it down to 50 degrees. However that didn't help. I was not offered another room I didn't even receive a simple apology. I would not recommend this hotel due to their lack of concern over the air conditioning. Myself spouse and 3 grandchildren had a very rough night. At the price I paid I should have had air conditioning!

Overall, not a bad hotel. The shower and shower curtain were not clean. Room was updated but they did a poor job. For instance caulk was a mess, didn’t paint behind toilet and couch was uncomfortable. Breakfast was limited but good. If you are simply looking for a place to rest your head, it’s fine.

First off, I'm not sure where the "good" reviews are coming from on this forum.|One can only assume the reviewers have some connection to the Hotel. If you want to read accurate reviews google this Country Inn location & read those reviews. They are very accurate & I know this because I almost stayed here 3/25/24. We checked into the hotel at midnight & We were looking forward to getting in the beds after a long 6 hour drive from Alabama. Check in went smooth with the night manager Jerry.|But it went down hill from here. When we walked into the room we smelled a strong pungent odor that we all described as urine The comforters on both beds were stained & when we pulled the sheets back they also had stains on them one of the beds looked like it feces stains on it. We went down to the front desk & explained the situation & nonchalantly were told “here's keys to a different room” No apology nothing from Jerry. It was as if our complaint was a common scenario & he was just going through the motions. The second room was just as bad & the smell of marijuana near this room was overwhelming. We decided for our health & safety it was best to find another hotel. The GM Sam Patel should be ashamed to have his name on the cards at the front desk or quite possibly he is the reason the hotel is the way it is. Stay away for your own good.

The hotel was nice and clean. The hotel room I stayed in was clean and smelt good as well. The breakfast was delicious and hot. The pool room was clean. The worker was all nice and friendly. I will recommend any friends and family if they need a place to stay while passing through to stay at the hotel.
