We stayed here October 2023 for a family trip to the Keweenaw. The hotel was great - exactly what we expected. The rooms, hallways, lobby, breakfast area and pool area were all clean and well maintained. The front desk staff was helpful and served a unique drink and cookies daily. The room was a standard 2-room suite with 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa. We've started to bring a blowup air mattress since the sofa beds are never comfortable, and it worked out just fine. The breakfast was well stocked and well varied. Two attendants were there always willing to help and replenish. The pool was small, and not very deep but clean and provided plenty of fun for the kids. The hot tub was large enough for 10 or so, and plenty warm to keep the adults and older kids occupied.
We enjoyed our stay at the Country Inn. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Our room was spacious and had comfortable beds and plenty of pillows. Breakfast was pretty good. They even had fresh berries for the waffles. There's a great restaurant right in the parking lot.
We spent one night here as part of a road trip through parts of Michigan, and these was a wonderful hotel for the night. It is part of a chain, so big and lacking character, but hugely comfortable and conveniently located. We especially enjoyed the free cookies they had available at the desk when we checked in.||The room and bed were very comfortable, and after spending time on the Keeweenaw Peninsula with pretty minimal cell coverage, we enjoyed the fast Wifi. The hotel was located within easy driving distance of multiple restaurant options, and the price was very reasonable. Overall we were happy with our choice and would gladly stay here again.
Positive: The location is beautiful and very convenient to shops and beach. Breakfast area overlooks the lake. Breakfast was very nice, lots of choices. The breakfast staff was very attentive and pleasant. Negative: The hotel was having trouble with he system for keying room cards. We had to reset the cards multiple times and couldn't access the room. Our keys also opened other rooms and theirs ours. I really didn't like this. One younger staff member was quite rude.
We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Keweenah NHP. This was the best hotel of our 11-day trip. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.
In the most respectful way possible, the reviews of this hotel are very inaccurate to my experience and I would never come back to any “Country Inn and Suites”. The hotel was extremely boisterous and loud past the midnight hour, I called front desk three times(over the course of 30 minutes) and nobody answered. Went down to front desk(after trying to call for a half hour), nobody there - that’s a big no no. This was my first time staying at the property/brand, and likely my last. Failed customer service. This situation would never occur with the brands I regularly stay with and as one that worked half a decade in the hospitality industry, the hotels team failed their job by not being available to their guests when it’s quite literally their job. This is my 93rd overnight this year for work, and never once in my time traveling have I seen a hotel that allows its front desk to be empty overnight. I continued to receive 3 hours of sleep before an eight hour drive. Waste of company $. Even without the negative experience, this hotel is outdated and needs more than the cosmetic makeover it was given.
Kind staff, clean room, beautiful decor, super comfy mattress, delicious hot breakfast with lots of "extras" (fruit toppings, burritos, etc). This was a very comfortable stay!
Pet friendly and comfortable. Collapsed into bed and slept deeply after long drive. Helpful staff. Definitely would stay again. Very clean and nicely maintained. About 0.5 miles from university. Walmart easy walk from hotel. Several fast food restaurants within a 10 minute walk.

A beautifully renovated Hampton property with very friendly staff, a stunning view of greenery and the water, and convenient location. My only complaint was that I forgot to bring a sleeping mask and there were no blackout curtains. I highly recomme
Almost everything during my stay was excellent! Only reason I subtracted a star was due to the Sauna being out of service and not being informed prior. If I could only deduct half a star for that I would. Grounds nice & maintained. Adequate parking.
Very very very fun. Took my 3 kids here 7-12. They all enjoyed it very much. I (39, 230lbs) climbed up it and slid down the slide but decided not to go back up. It was a lot of fun. Didn't see many ladders. The park is really beautiful. Great vi
Great park with free parking. Hung out for awhile, finding shady picnic tables about. Lots of activities and kids enjoying themselves. We especially liked the ice cream and slowing us to try a taste before buying a cup! Delicious!!
Best burrito within 100 miles! The chili chocolate cake, layered with pistachio cheesecake, is absolutely incredible! If you want to try the cake, be sure to stop by earlier in the day as it's not unusual for them to run out in the evening!
The skatepark is very nice. The pavilion at the park is great for picnics. There are also coin operated showers that are open during summer and early fall. These are great if you are camping in the area.

This is one of the three visitor centers for Isle Royale and the only one not on the island. If you find yourself waiting for a boat or plane, this is a great place to burn some time and plan your trip so that you don't need to spend much time island
Got an idea to come here from a Pure Michigan article. Perfect beach to go for sunset. Sand is dark tiny stones. Water gets deep very quickly. You can have a walk on the wave breaker. Many people come here to make fires on the beach in the evenings.
