This hotel was horrible. When you walk in the lobby itself was dirty and had a bad smell. Was given room 201. Run fast if they try to put you there. When you open the door the smell of mold takes your breath away. Carpet was soggy/wet. Requested another room and they had to go behind closed doors to "make it happen". Second room was better but still not the greatest. Peeling paint, dirty floors (never took my shoes off), lock falling off door and dead bugs. Breakfast was okay but never changed - scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles and standard continental items. It was close to the ballpark but there were definitely better options in the area.

The room with a decent size, but definitely needed some remodeling or updating. There was a smell of like sulfur throughout the building. Breakfast is included, but clearly all of the food and temple except for come from Walmart. In other words, they are very slow quality.the evening and morning South we're not closing at all. Even the morning switch changed over Lloyd did not even smile once. Carpet definitely updating. Could really do without people smoking at every entrance. There were no roaches so I guess that the floss.

I made a reservation at country Inn and suites today August 29. I was treated so rudely and then she didn’t even say goodbye , she just hung up that I thought I didn’t want to use your hotel if this is how I will be treated by staff. When I called to cancel, she said ok and hung up on me AGAIN! Well an hour after fuming, I called and asked for her to send me an email confirming that I cancelled. She said we don’t do that I cancelled already and HUNG UP! She then called me back to say she sent it an hour ago and I said I never got it and just then, it came and I nicely said oh hear it comes now. GUESS WHAT SHE DID NEXT? She is definitely in the wrong job.

I’ll start by saying, the front desk lady was very nice! |We entered our room to an odd smell, not sure what it was. Moving on! My daughter and I were there for the weekend for a cheer competition at Jekyll Island and staying here was less expensive. |Found the smell….the mini fridge in the room did not close all the way and I didn’t make time to check it out Friday night and waited Saturday where I realized a puddle of water on the carpet Saturday morning! I laid towels on the floor in front of fridge and left for our already scheduled plans. After getting back to our room about 12PM I noticed that our fridge wasn’t shut properly because there was so much ice buildup in freezer, it didn’t allow the door to seal. I took the time out of my vacation to defrost the freezer inside mini fridge and clean it out. I also realized that the door wasn’t closing properly because of the rack in the fridge. After an hr spent defrosting and moving the racks around, the fridge worked great and sealed again properly. This wasn’t something that happened overnight, could have been weeks like this or longer. The rooms bathroom tub spigot was also hanging on the tub by a limb…. We did enjoy the indoor pool however it’s in desperate need of some ventilation because of the chlorine. Overall, the staff was nice, but I think you need new housekeeping management.

I should have read the reviews before I spent money on this room. It was disgusting! The carpets haven't been cleaned in years & have nasty stains all over them. Our room reeked of stale cigarettes & we had to open the windows to air it out. The room looked nothing like the pictures. It was so gross. I see the same reviews from other people & the management says they're going to address it but they don't. I want my money back. It's uninhabitable.

Our stay at this location was confirmation of "you get what you pay for." I have never been more disappointed nor felt more gross than staying here. Worse, we were stuck as it was Memorial Day weekend and everything else was booked or far outside of our budget. We chose this location because of price. I will never stay at a Country Inn again. We walked into the room and first thing, dead roach on the floor. Then we saw another on the floor by the ac unit. (see photo) There was exposed wiring on the ground (see photo) (huge hazard for children), the wood was destroyed on the shelf holding the fridge (see photo), the bathroom door would not shut and there was marks on the door jam where people have tried (see photo). The toilet paper holder was barely attached and fully rusted (see photo), mold on the shower towel bar (see photo), debris on the closet floor that we couldn't tell what it was (see photo)...and worse, our feet stuck to the carpet. It was so gross, our feet and socks were brown after 10 min walking. So we wore shoes the entire time. We were right by the exit door (not the main entrance) and it never locked. So people came in and out without a key - we did not feel safe. Also, our own key cards frequently stopped working and we had to get new ones. Another guest saw us trying to get in and said, "Card stopped working? so did ours, twice." This was horrible. I cannot believe a place like this, with so many obvious problems, can continue without repairs. I do not recommend this location or hotel at all. Full disclosure: We did use a 3rd party to book, but we did call the hotel first to see if they could match the price.

This hotel is disgusting. The floors look like they haven’t been cleaned in 20 years, and the room smelt of nasty mildew. The beds look clean, but it’s the rest the hotel looked the way it did, I imagine my bed wasn’t so clean. Everything is extremely outdated and clearly poorly ran by the owners. We stayed for two nights and if I was smart, I would’ve checked out after the first night because the five or six other hotels in the area look like they were a heck of a lot newer and cleaner than this one. If you’re reading this review, do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars to stay around the corner somewhere else. Highly disappointed with the cleanliness, and the two or other families that we were with all felt the same way

This hotel was absolutely disgusting. We checked in and within 30 minutes we left and booked at a hotel across the street. - the hotel smelled like marijuana the second you stepped foot in the door. Smell continued on every floor and even into the hotel rooms. - it was also a great experience during check-in process to listen to a murder documentary on full blast with my small children present. - the pool was absolutely disgusting and the whole top of the water was covered in white foam - the exhaust fan in the bathroom sounded like it was about to explode - tv in the room didn’t work - dead bugs on the floor in the room - 3rd floor room where the windows were unlocked. Windows open completely and have no screens. Allowing for any child/adult to open and fall out. Will never stay at this establishment or another Country Inn and Suites ever again.

Amazing wraps for the price! We got breakfast, lunch, and dinner for our trip to Cumberland Island! So many options that we were able to create 3 different meals. Very easy to order online and not a crazy long wait.
