Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Brooklyn Center, MN - Hotel in Brooklyn Center - 2550 Freeway Blvd, USA

This place was not anything special. Our room was prepared & left with used soaps. The presentation of the beds looked rather homely. Breakfast was lovely. They also have a very expensive secondary fee that is not returned to you until after 15 business days. So if you don't enjoy a 100$ fee, you might want to look elsewhere considering the overall presentation of this place.

The walls are very thin.. can hear people in the next room talking .. the pool was warm and the hot tub wasn't hot at all. Felt like warm bath water. I booked online and it clearly states check in after 3pm and check out is 12 pm. We get a knock on the door at 11 asking if we checking out.. tell them checkout is at 12. People who came to the door didnt understand English well. 20 minutes later another lady comes to the door stating check out is at 11. Told her the same thing.. my itinerary and the website both state check out is at 12. She then states that they are under new ownership. And had been for 3 weeks. Proceeded to let her know that y'all might want to update your website so you don't mislead other customers! They have had plenty of time to do so.

A dump. Giving it one star is too generous. The word.suite is a joke. None of the maids or help in the kitchen speak a word of English, not even understanding simple terms like milk or towel. Check-in was awful. The girl that checked us in was more interested in what the person next-door was doing then checking me in. The breakfast was terrible, once the food is eaten, nothing else is put out People are pigs and make a mess, no one cleans it up. I would ask for things like clean towels, they never showed up. Our keys would continuously quit working. Never never again! The only good thing about the place is it’s location. It’s a very nice area. The ceilings are so thin we could hear the person above us clomping back-and-forth continuously till after midnight.

At 11:17am someone knocked on our door confirming we were only staying one night. Then we were asked to check out because their checkout time was at 11am. My husband said on the form he signed in BOLD it says 12pm. She then mumbled about new owners. Let me clarify. The website says 12, the form says 12, google says 12 and when I call the call center says 12. What we had planned was at 12. So now we are stuck in the car in the rain! Tried calling the hotel for an explanation and they don't answer!! Horrible customer service

Positive: It was a place to stay. Negative: It was not in a good area and not worth $$. The bed felt like we were sleeping on a box spring with NO mattress. The pillows felt like it was just a pillow case. The AC would go on and off all night. So majority of the night we were all extremely hot.

One thing we wanted to use during staycation was hot tub. For whatever reason we have the worst luck with hot tubs. I was disappointed to find upon check in that the hot tub wouldn’t be working until tomorrow. At last visit at country inn at cloud they let us stay later the next day after it was repaired. This one said no because we don’t know if it will actually be fixed tomorrow. I then asked about discount since we’re not getting all we paid for. Again no. We could take it or leave it but no refunds since we booked through Priceline. I then told her I tried to call and verify hot tub was working but nobody answer the phone. Oh yeah. Our phones have worked for a month. What kind of run down dump is this?

This hotel serves a -10! Booked and paid for a room on May 6, 2024 for check in July 11, 2024. After driving 6 hrs to arrive and be told they have no room. The desk clerk had ZERO concern, didn’t offer any assistance and told my husband “they can find you a room” meaning Expedia. Spent over an hr on the phone trying to find another hotel nearby which thankfully Expedia found and paid for as they should. The kicker is this exact same thing happened at this hotel last year when we moved our daughter up here. Except the desk clerk then had apologized, gave us a suite at Embassy hotel across the street (upgrade!) at no charge, refunded our original fee and took care of it all in 10 min. This time this hotel did nothing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!!!!

I just want to say that the people are really nice and helpful and I want to put a good word in for Ronda the service clerk she is a hard working person and really nice and she keeps everything in order to the hotel so keep up the great work Ronda and thank you for everything and to the housekeepers they are doing a great job keep the rooms clean and making people happy I definitely come back the nexts time I come out to visit
