The location was excellent. Ken was very attentive and provided excellent customer service. These were the only positive things about this hotel. There were roaches and bugs in the bathroom. The furniture in the sitting area was old and outdated. The thermostat didn't work properly. This location had to be an independently owned and not a part of the hotel chain. Customers beware. I would not recommend to stay at this hotel.

This was a huge disappointment especially over 4th of July with escalated rates of $200 per night! See photos. There were two live roaches in our room during our stay - we killed and flushed asap so no photos - and two roaches in the lobby/pool bathroom that were there all 4 days of our stay (ie never cleaned that bathroom). The sheets had stains on both comforters. We asked for new ones 3 times (via email and in person) and never got them. The chair in the living room was stained and worn. The mattress on the pull out had stains and no sheets. There was trash under the couch and behind the tv/dresser proof they don’t clean the room. The room was never cleaned - lots of sand on floor was proof of no vacuuming - beds never made. Only new towels and trash removal. The breakfast is not horrible, but very small and the choices were dwindling each day we stayed. No water - you have to buy that from the vending machine. Only orange and apple juice. We read the reviews and were hopeful they weren’t true, but they are. When they asked how our stay was via email survey, they responded without addressing the sheet or furniture issues and proceeded to tell us there are no ‘pests’ in their hotel. Management does not care and neither do franchise owners. I assure you there are many bugs and the rooms are not cleaned between guests or even during a 4 night stay. I don’t leave reviews often but couldn’t let this one go. Trust the 1 star reviews - those are the true reviews. Know what you are getting. We stayed 4 nights prepaid so couldn’t get a refund to go somewhere else.

We arrived after checkin in time on a prepaid reservation and our room was not ready. While waiting to check in, dirty water dripped onto the reservation counter from an a/c vent that was way overdue for maintenance and cleaning. That was the theme of our stay. Our room had hair on the floor, despite having just been “cleaned.” There are stains on all the walls and ceilings and I chose to wear shower shoes rather than risk a foot fungus on the moldy tile in the shower. We had an ADA compliant room with a walk in shower. The shower head was not able to remain in place and water sprayed throughout the bathroom. As we were checking out, we needed a luggage cart but none was available. We approached the staff to inquire about it, then began loading our stuff in the car by taking trips. The staff member then entered our room without knocking to find one of our party still inside the room! So unprofessional. I cannot recommend this hotel and certainly not for this price.

Very dirty room. Housekeeping is very poor at this location. Complaints do not get responded to. Many dead bugs in the room with food crumbs in chair cushion and sofa. Loud AC unit. Breakfast was terrible. There is no pride taken at this hotel! Very sad. The sofa bed mattress was disgusting and I can’t believe they think it was acceptable to anyone. Dirty sheet on mattress and soiled towel in our bathroom. Stay elsewhere!

Run don’t walk! Do not pay your hard earned money here! They have a roach infestation! This place is horrible! The staff is not the best! I would never recommend this place to anyone! 0 out of 5! When we told the morning staff member the issues he said roaches are bad in The South! I said don’t do that I’ve live in MS my entire life and these are nasty little roaches not water bugs! Try again! This place should not be a Choice property!

Our room was very dirty with quite a few dead bugs in the room. Filthy sofa bed mattress, loud AC unit. No one would take care of housekeeping complaints. Food crumbs throughout room to include whole peanuts. Dirty towel coated with fresh makeup. Breakfast was terrible. Sausage gravy tasted like spoiled milk and I had to spit it out. We had a difficult time sleeping due to the loud rattling noises from AC unit. Never once did anyone at the hotel apologize or correct issues. Received an automated text message asking me to rate the hotel and I was messaged that someone from the front desk would reach out to me. No one did. Do not stay here. This used to be a very nice place. Very disappointed!

If I could leave 0 stars I would!!! This is by far the worst hotel experience ever. Not only did I immediately check out after just walking into the room because of the mold and mildew smell. There were roaches roaming around in the bathroom. Hair was in the sink. They continued to attempt to bill my card 7 times after I checked out. Had my card not been locked they would have gotten another $1800 out of my account including the $630 that I paid for 2 rooms. Management acted like that had no clue at to what was happening. After calling Choice Hotel customer service I was notified they had checked me out of the original rooms and checked me into a different room#. That is how they kept attempting to bill me. I had to notify my bank to stop the charges. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY ATTEMPTS!

Walked in, black mold on vents, floor dirty, old food in drawers from several people back ( from mold on it) sleeper sofa sheets dirty. Can't get clean linens due to day staff locking up cleaning area. Front desk guy was nice, but could no do anything. No rooms left here or nearby. Off the by sheets or blow up mattress....bad!!!
