So I had the pleasure to stay here and for what you pay I think it's more than reasonable accommodation. Staff is very friendly, all the people staying here are very friendly I have kids and I feel pretty safe. I've heard of things but I'll tell you this bad apples are everywhere but here there isn't any just good people, honest people. I would recommend this stay for beginners to the outdoors and people on a budget. Keep it friendly folks
I just watched the show "HOTEL IMPOSSIBLE"s episode on the country barn motel. After seeing 2 rooms renovated why wouldn't the owners continue to update the place a can of spray paint for the furniture hardware and some Rust-Oleum paint for the furniture doesn't cost over $10. A leaf blower rake and mulch is a easy way to main the grounds. Obviously the owners don't give to schitt's about this place otherwise they would have continued to upgrade "Bed Bugs"...the place should be shut down! I feel bad because hotel Impossible wasted their time and money doing anything with the property!! SHAMEFUL Obviously the city and officials are turning a blind eye to the goings-on at this place. Maybe they are in cahoots with the welfare system? Maybe owners are paying 💲 officials for getting vouchers to stay here? Something shady is going on here obviously. This place is not helping people that are down on their luck, 🍀 it's taking advantage of them! 💵 I don't care you are you should not be exposed to bedbugs, 🐜🕷️filth, mold,and being overcharged!
so... yeah maybe sometimes, these places are not up to par as we would like them to be but the way I see it, is if you want a place to be the way you want it to your standards maybe think about putting a little work into it. Make it your own space maybe do some freshen up like painting or redoing the cabin to make it look really nice I'm sure they would really appreciate it, of course you have to ask for permission but I guarantee you any kind of upgrades they'd be more than willing to make an exception as long as you were good at it. for instance I rented a room at the y and it wreaked of cat urine and there was cockroaches everywhere but you know what I made it a project of mine to make it the way, I wanted it to be and it ended up being one of the best rooms in their putting in a little deep cleaning a little bit of painting I put some tile floor down it cost me a lot but you know what I feel great in the end and I loved my little spot I've been wanting to get one of these cabins for the longest time I don't know I just think it would be a lot of fun cuz you basically have your own little cabin like that's sick I'm hoping that I get a chance to rent one out this summer because it's something I really want to do so in knowing that it's a cheap place to live it is a hotel maybe you could be a little nicer but maybe they just have short staff or something and I mean you got your money back so there's a place they didn't have to give you your money back honestly maybe they didn't know the room was under those conditions also another thing if there's a lot of drugs and stuff like that going around us everyday doesn't mean you have to be involved in it negative remarks and emotions only gets attracted to you if you're having stinking thinking and feeding out negative so look on the bright side of things be grateful for the little things in life because someone has it far more worse than you and usually most of the time.anyways God bless there's my rant for the day country barn I would love to get a room from you guys this spring/summer I'm just waiting for my first check and it's not an emergency situation right now and I would totally move from cabin to cabin just to fix them up I love doing stuff like that LOL anyway have a good day everyone God bless and peace||Amber Girouard
I left the room cleaner than it was when I checked in. I was 2 weeks from moving out of state. The staff was petty and unprofessional; drunk cleaning lady would walk around with a cup in her hand and 2 teeth in her mouth making conversation in the middle of the night when you just want to get into your room. The front desk staff was rude. Tons of kids, a lot of drug users but never felt unsafe or experienced bed bugs. Again you get what you pay for I brought my own sheets, pillows and covers and plastic covers for the mattress and box spring and wiped down the room with bleach prior to my ever laying my head down. 5 Stars on Price, 1/2 star for everything else!
I'm a travel writer I recently travel to this motel my first reaction was its cute little cabins and I thought the staff was nice talking with. I think that like most off the map motel's are the ones that you want to get this hotel gave the impression that it does need some help||But as far as it having bug's it does not if it did the staff have cleaned up that problem. The rooms were clean. Layed out well and equipped. And it was a good price for the week I will recommend this place to everyone I know
I don't know if I can give a fair review, because I haven't actually stayed at Country Barn Motel in years! Over 7 years to be honest... But I have visited a handful of people who were/are staying here and unfortunately, not much has changed. Bed bugs are ALWAYS A CONCERN IF YOU NEED TO STAY HERE!!! I WOULDN'T SUGGEST IT or at least make sure you don't bring everything you own(if possible) here. Also, if you can check everything out before actually sleeping and/or storing anything here.. Again, it's been over 7 years since I have had to stay here, but I do know that bedbugs are STILL an issue here! My advice would be to NOT stay here, but I know sometimes people get stuck, I've been there myself, and just need a place to stay... So, if you have to stay here, PLEASE, PLEASE CHECK YOUR ROOM/TRAILER FOR BEDBUGS!!!
Awesome people! The rooms are clean. Never had an issue with bugs or cleanliness. The managers and the rest of the team really care. Most who stay there live there and it's like a gated community. The saying "it takes a village" is applied here. You feel safe and comfortable. Very friendly. Worth the stay.
This place was definitely here for me when I needed it. There is nothing glamorous about it but my basic needs were fulfilled. The people who run it are incredibly nice, reasonable, and resposible. it's not a four star resort but never claimed to be either. I felt safe here and could sleep at night. It is what it is, take it or leave it. For me it was better than the alternative. They were conscientious and prompt in dealing with the one problem I had here. Bash them all you want, they are good people and they really do try from what I can see.
