Cottonwood Inn and Conference Center - Conference center in South Sioux City - 4402 Dakota Ave, USA

This is a working mans type of hotel. Lots of trucking and construction type clients. The room I was in was clean but dated. On the positive side, it was cleaned every day unlike most hotels these days. The down sides are its nosey. You can hear thru the walls and being in a downstairs room, I could hear the guest above me walking across his hardwood floor. The breakfast offerings leave a lot to be desired. Waffles and some biscuits and just a little bit of gravy in the bottom of a pan. I've seen much better. One of my last nights there, there was a wedding at 10 PM. All the bridesmaids were in a room directly across from me yelling, laughing and just having a great time. I complained to the front desk about the noise and nothing was done. It quoted down around ten, then at 130AM, here we go again with the door opening and slamming, yelling, loud talking, etc. The wedding party rented the conference center and should have had their party there, not where people were trying to sleep.

The place had a combination of multiple odors in hallways, and rooms. It’s obvious maintenance is not a priority. The A/C unit in the wall had a large enough gap on the bottom that I could easily see daylight. I bet a lot of bugs crawl through there. Shower doesn’t drain. I wanted a shower not a bath. Service wasn’t hospitable. We are traveling with extended family and asked if our rooms could be near each other. The receptionist coldly stated “no, we can’t do that.” Clearly they could when the parking lot isn’t even half full. Obviously there are plenty of unoccupied rooms tonight.

This was a great stay for us . We were needing a quick overnight on a long drive and this was perfect. Clean, quite, great service. Breakfast was good. Popcorn in the lobby. Attendants were very helpful. Was happy it was actually brewed coffee at breakfast. Wouldn't personally call that a breakfast buffet but it was Good 👍

Stayed here twice. They have rooms that are equipped with regular cable, but most room only have Roku. You hav to ask for a room with cable BEFORE reservation!!! If they try to give you a runaround, BOOK A DIFFERENT HOTEL. Rooms are okay, nothing special. Stayed here during the Super Bowl and couldn’t watch it because my room did not have cable. They don’t care and will NOT change your room. Be careful. All in all, this hotel ONLY cares about the trucking company they serve.

Arrived late (10pm) and am just staying 1 night. Check-in was friendly. Given the price my bar was set pretty low, I just wanted to clean room and a decent bed. The room had clearly been smoked in and had a distinct smoke smell, but I was tired and it was tolerable. Despite the beds looking freshly made one had crumbs scattered throughout the bedding and hair. This bed wasn’t turned over it was just organized to look clean. Would have asked for a different room but no reason to expect the others would be better, it’s late and I’m exhausted. Posting this and going to sleep. ——the next morning—— I typically prefer a firm bed, but this bed was a rock with a mattress pad on it… Temperature control in the room didn’t work correctly so the room was very hot no matter how much I turned down the temperature. Heading to the fitness room, which was the reason I chose this over an even cheaper place, the fitness room is in disrepair and filthy.

I was there for a wedding not to stay over so I can't say how rooms were but if you are looking for a venue for a large celebration, this place was nice and what I heard very accommodating.

Right off the interstate and a reasonable price. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Would definitely stay here again
