Great stay. Reasonable price and very nice cottage and outdoor space. Nice touches on the coffee, water bottles and coffee biscuits reach day. Just get the address for your cottage as they're added a few. Gary was great. Would recommend this place and the area for wine enthusiasts.
So an interesting stay. First there was a mixup with our reservation. The owner was fantastic in fixing the problem and getting us to the right cottage. Full marks there. The place is a bit older, lots of updates but other areas not so much. The bathroom for sure shows it’s age and the towels too. Beds were good, a bit firm, and that was what I like. The outside is pretty and the pond adds some great sounds. The cover also adds some noise on the ceiling and wall. The dog behind barked a lot and didn’t seem to friendly. The living room chair back was covered with pet hair. Good location overall in the middle.
I planned a surprise birthday trip to Lodi for my wife. After 2 prior trips to Lodi I was looking for some place new to stay. I found The Cottages On Armstrong through the Lodi wine web site. I contacted the owner, Liz, and was immediately treated like an old family friend. We made reservations to stay at the Pinot Noir Cottage, which is one of 3 private houses they rent. Liz asked how familiar we we're with the area and was more than accommodating, offering to make reservations at wineries that were closed during our visit. When we arrived Liz was there and gave us the tour. The Pinot Noir Cottage sits on a large lot, separated by a drive way, with another cottage. The property has a large common garden & grass area and its bordered on the north by their vineyards. The Pinot Noir Cottage is a vintage 2 bedroom house with a full kitchen, dining room table, couch & love seat. The cottage has everything you need to cook a meal, even a supply of tupperware to store left overs. The master bedroom has a very comfortable king bed with extra linens. The cottage was very clean, but one must consider its location, in the heart of farm land. If an occasional spider in bath tub or field mouse under the BBQ freaks you out you may want to consider other lodging. As for us, it was perfect! Having the ability to pack a lunch prior to a day of wine tasting & the option of cooking dinner afterwards is exactly what we were looking for. If private and self contained is appealing to you, this property is absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be back......Thank you Liz!
Fantastic rental and the owner was so helpful. My family is already planning their next visit. The wife and I live here and are thinking about a staycation.
Cute little place. It was just what we were looking for and decently priced.
Tricia was an excellent host from start to finish. Room was perfectly clean. The home was warm and cozy inside and out. Breakfast was 5 stars. Cant wait to stay again.
I've been coming here since I was a little kid. Nice park with plenty of shaded picnic areas. Of course, there's the lake and river. Can't forget about the bike/walk trial. Perfect to take morning walks.
