Costco Wholesale - Warehouse store in Montclair - 9404 Central Ave, USA

We have been shopping at this Costco for a long time now. Staff is typically friendly and helpful and the store is always fully stocked. However, there are some major concerns about the freshness and quality of their food. My husband came home from Costco yesterday and there were two major issues. The first is that he brought home the famous rotisserie chicken and it was RAW on the inside - huge issue. The second is that he bought a two pack of Dave's bread and it was long expired - 12/8/23 to be exact. So the bread is almost one month past expiration. The last item that was of concern was my carton of brown eggs. There was no date on the carton, so I decided to check if the eggs were good. I placed an egg in a full glass of water and it began to float - which means the eggs are old. Because of these issues, mostly because of a raw rotisserie chicken, I'm thinking of switching to Sam's.

When you come here...... bring your patience hat......and around lunchtime it is packed. The prices are expensive, I don't know what to say. Everything is so darn expensive. Is there such a thing as bargain shopping now? The store is always clean and well stocked. And check out is always friendly and a breeze.

Costco is its own unique ecosystem. With ever-changing displays, and the omnipresent crowds, and a huge number of huge sizes of things you may or may not need is both a shopping trip and an entertainment destination. On a recent trip, I found some very odd snacks which I will post in the photos. The name is "cake seasoned with chicken meat floss" . If that is not something lost in translation, I don't know what is! If anyone can tell me or comment what the heck they are I would appreciate it!

It's Costco. What's there not to love. Pays their staff well. Provide their staff benefits. Provide better products than any other department store at better price points. It's consistently a better place to work than Google or Apple now. :D I'm proud to give them my money knowing they treat their staff well.

Loved what we got, great bill and save

Every employee I have encountered here was amazing. However, I wish the food court had one single line for the pre-orders instead of multiple lines where customers move around betting which line would be faster. Today my family and I unfortunately got the slowest line where one person took 10 minutes at the window while other lines already helped 7 customers.

I went to Costco yesterday and parked my vehicle in handicap parking because I am a handicap person with a handicap placard. I couldn’t stop noticing three Costco employees I know this because I seen their badges on their waist pointing and laughing in my direction didn’t think nothing of it continued walking away looking for a cart as I walk around I noticed that they were still pointing and laughing at my truck. I didn’t think nothing of it but it was so obvious when I got closer that they were laughing at my truck so I asked the Costco employee is there a problem where I park he Said no as long as you have a handicap placard two employees right away left and continue to say we’ve been having vehicles towed out of handicap parking if Don’t have a handicap sign . It didn’t make any sense they just got caught. handicap individuals come in all shapes and sizes. We don’t have to look crippled to be handicap, but there is no need to point at someone and laugh at them being handicap. I take personal and serious cause I suffer with rheumatoid arthritis and lots of pain. I brought this to management attention, and for some reason I felt that they were hearing me and not listening to me and not taking it serious. Wanted to share my my experience it’s unfortunate. These individuals were very young and immature, but Costco can do much better in training their employees.

Managers need to get retrained on how to treat their customers. 0 people skills. If they don't like their job find something else to do.
