Coronet Motel - Featured Reviews (157)
We've stayed in many hotel/motels in the Palo Alto area over the years. We chose the Coronet as it was closest to the Palo Alto High School Graduation ceremonies. I was a little concerned as the price was so much lower than we usually have to pay in the area. However, what a delightful surprise! It is well staffed, perfectly maintained, comfortable, quiet, free parking, and even a small pool for a dip after a long hot drive. Grab a room if you are looking in this area.
I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Palo Alto while my daughter attends a camp at Stanford. I love the charm of this 1940s motel. The rooms are well appointed and clean. There's a nice little kitchenette that has a microwave, a mini fridge with a freezer, and a Keurig with K cups. There are restaurants within walking distance and you can walk to Stanford. The front desk is outstanding as far as customer service and making you feel welcome. When I saw only two stars on Booking, I'm glad I went through the reviews to see what other people thought. This isn't giving Bates Motel vibes, I would give it more of a Schitt's Creek vibe with updated rooms. This was the perfect no-frills, conveniently located, budget friendly option that is close to Stanford. If we were to come back out I would definitely stay here again.
Love this place. Superb location, spacious & clean rooms, terrific price. Beds are nice, bedding & towels great, and we love supporting a locally owned hotel. This was our 3rd stay & we’ll be back. 👍🏼👍🏼
A fairly simple, but VERY clean little hotel. Great place to spend the night before a Stanford Medical appointment the next morning. The best thing about this place, is that there is a WONDERFUL restaurant district, that begins literally right behind it. There are a BUNCH of restaurants, with a WIDE variety of cuisines and price levels, in about a 2 block area! I plan on staying here from now on, whenever I have a Stanford appointment! Also, the staff were very nice folks to deal with...
We stayed at the Coronet while a family member was having procedures done at Stanford. I would absolutely stay here again. It is a little dated and located on a bit of a busy street but not bad at all. Very clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for us, maybe 15-20 minutes to Stanford, all different types of restaurants within a short walking distance. Our room was very clean. The photos on the website are extremely accurate. Staff…awesome, location was perfect and close to everything we needed.
Room 1 does NOT allow for sleeping. ALL the rooms back up to a parking lot, but room 1 is under a staircase with laundry out one window and dumpsters from a restaurant that get emptied monday-saturday at 5:00 am. out the back window. The best room would be second floor, farthest from office.||The staff was very nice, but the motel was sold out so they couldn't move me.||The location is fantastic. I walked to the Stanford football game--1.2 miles.||Free parking in lot.
Very clean with comfortable beds. Owner is very friendly and willing to give dinner recommendations. Because it is located directly on El Camino Real some people may have trouble sleeping due to street noise but we were tired and fell right asleep. Earplugs could be helpful. Very nice but not fancy. Most impressed with the cleanliness. Great location near all the good restaurants on California Ave, the train station, and Stanford University and hospital. I recommend!
Shaun had great service and was very helpful. The motel was also super clean with towels and amenities. Great stay.
Training at Palo Alto Fit has been a wonderful experience for me, and I owe a lot of that to my trainer, Jason! I was intimidated by the gym at first, but Jason's encouraging attitude helped me feel more comfortable. He created a personalized workou
