Coronado Motel was a disappointing experience from start to finish. The rooms were outdated and in desperate need of renovation. The cleanliness was subpar, with dirty carpets and stained bedding. The staff was unhelpful and unfriendly, showing no interest in addressing our concerns. The noise level was unbearable, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. The amenities promised were either non-existent or in poor condition. Overall, I would not recommend Coronado Motel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

So happy to see that this motel still exists and is extremely clean from the outside. My late husband and I rented here for about 5 months back in Nov 1993 to March 1994. The couple who may still own it we're very kind and friendly. Our kitchenette apartment was small and sweet back in the day. I remember when my uncle and aunt were dating in the mid 60s and they said Mr. Christmas owned the motel. I know he has since passed years ago. This place really should be a landmark. I have so many memories of my late husband and I here. I was a young 19 and it was $22.50 a night or $525 a month. I even still have the little receipts from when we paid everyday to once a week. Good memories.

Got a room for a night, and ended up staying for a year and a half! The staff at the hotel are friendly, and most of the time the owner is on site. If you have any issues, the are taken care of quickly. Not in the best neighborhood, but they have cameras and they are good about keeping people off the property who shouldn't be here.

The Coronado is a refreshing break from the motel chain same-o same-o. Off the beaten path, the whole property has obviously been lovingly maintained for decades and someone with an artistic hand has enhanced walls, doorways, windows, and walls ... inside and out. (When I walked into my room, I thought someone had left the window open, then realized the window was painted onto the wall.) The thick adobe-style walls enveloped me in silence, even with a family with several very young children next door. The vigas (open ceiling beams) and all the woodwork was varnished to a high gloss and the room was immaculate. (The last sheet of paper on the toilet roll had been folded like the linen table napkins in a fine restaurant.) Across the street is a nice walking path around a lake. Friendly service. And all for a price out of the 1970's. Don't expect the Hyatt or the Hilton, but if a small room and quirky, old-fashioned fittings and furnishings don't put you off, enjoy a stay you'll remember. I'll be back.

Omg!!! Super cute outside! But nasty old shag carpet that was all matted and stained! Stinks like an old thrift shop all appliances are from like the 60's and were all beat up.. The bathroom eeeewww! I paid for this room walked in looked around i didnt even want to touch anything! Walked straight out and got my money back..
