The bedroom is adequate for just sleeping and the beds are comfortable. Staff is very friendly and it’s a great location with parking. However, the bathroom is a problem. We got a unit that had not been renovated and the shower pan looks like it’s been patched multiple times as it had a hole in it. Every time we turned the shower on a very pungent sewer smell would appear as well.
Excellent stay, hotel staff was helpful, having the bikes to use was a game changer for our stay. Great location close to food and the beach. Room was exactly what we were expecting: clean and nicely sized
Overall, a decent option when looking for a more affordable stay in Coronado. Staff were helpful and friendly. Loved the ice cold water dispenser in the reception area. Room was clean but a bit dated in some ways (ie counter had a chip missing from it). AC worked great. Some rooms will be noisier than others (rooms 1-8 border 3rd Street which has heavier traffic) But road noise is to be expected when in the heart of Coronado. Definitely bring a white noise machine or use an app. The walls are thin and with no staff on duty at night, there’s not much you can do with noisy guests. It’s definitely a drawback as we could hear music playing at midnight even with white noise on. The location is excellent—many wonderful restaurants & shops within walking distance (10 minute walk). The bay side of Coronado was within walking distance as well.
The room was clean, good a/c , plenty of space. Limited tv stations. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We brought our small dog and it was not a problem. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Great value. We’ll definitely be back.
It was about $250/night during peak season. It’s a motel not a hotel and very basic. Two beds, one nightstand, a child-size toilet and a few things you don’t want to see like someone else’s hair on the bed and on the toilet. The sheets did not smell clean. The ice maker was not sanitary. Bad luck for us - the pool was drained and they had no k-cups for their coffee makers. The night we checked in the girl had a white claw, and later a beer and her “out doing housekeeping” sign was put up several times and we are pretty sure she wasn’t doing any housekeeping that night. It’s a really old motel with very basic sleep/bathroom amenities and they are not the greatest at cleaning. We had to move the one nightstand to find a plug and found a ton of dirt and dust instead. The steps are kind of weird too and the entrance-way was unstable. But - if you want to stay on Coronado Island on a budget and don’t expect much then this place will do. The location is right on Orange St. and everything is on Orange St. - all the shops, restaurants and boutiques. It’s in a great location and they have bikes so you can ride to anywhere you need to go. I don’t recommend it if you are traveling with kids or if you are older or if you expect an actual hotel.
We drove 34 hours to find our room absolutely filthy. Black matter coming off of the ceiling fan, ceiling funk, filthy couch, doors, walls, and the kitchen looked like they took it out of an abandoned home. We walked in and walked out. We told them we were not having our family in that room. We are now in a battle of our card being charged $2008.00, $333.00, $250.00, $295(twice), $1674.00, and another $200 and change. BEWARE do not stay or go here!!! I have a picture of a few charges and the bank declined the rest they were attempting. My husband and have both called…..no solution and only to be hung up on. DO NOT STAY or GIVE THEM a CREDIT CARD NUMBER!
We have stayed here often over the years. The rooms are basic and adequate. The shower had no soap and the sink soap container won’t work in the shower. No water glasses. We didn’t get to use the pool but it’s nice. The rate is a bit pricey. |We will stay here again.
Wonderful hidden gem in Coronado which is typically a very expensive area to stay in. Reasonable prices, clean rooms, great pool, very comfortable amenities. Obviously they like people! Great place right on the main road Orange in Coronado. Plenty of free parking and walkable to tons of restaurants, bars, shops and you can even walk over and take the ferry over to downtown San Diego if you want. Wonderful place. Kid and pet friendly. Awesome!
I was visiting the San Diego area with my wife and 5 year old for a wedding and decided to stay at the Del Coronado because it was close to the beach. We also liked the fact it seemed to be kid friendly, had activities going on, great views, and a hi
My husband surprised me with a two night stay at the Beach Village to celebrate our 8 year anniversary. We are still talking about it. Jay helped my husband with all of details on places to celebrate, little surprises in our room, and just with the w

I brought my kids to this library for their kids library section. The section is very clean, well equipped, arranged, and they provide plenty of choice of books. We love this library.
This park is a must when visiting San Diego! I make sure to take everyone here at night when they visit here! Super pretty at night and some of the best views of the downtown skyline Iâve seen:)
Big, beautiful beaches. Lots of restaurants and shops. Was here just before Christmas so a lot of lights and decorations were up and there was an outdoor skating rink at the Hotel Coronado. What an amazing place that is. Hope to come back again soon.
Great waveless lap pool. 50 meters and 25 yard set up. Kids pool area. Life guards present. Full bathrooms with showers, lockers and changing area.Lots of lounge chairs with views of the bay and Coronado bridge. Open for public use with a nominal fee
