We spent an amazing night here!! Room 7 looked so beautiful and had so much space. We loved being able to see out of the window and see the adorable adjacent shops. Super kind and helpful staff too!! I requested a romantic atmosphere and they absolutely delivered with roses and chocolates. Definitely book here and enjoy the coffee shop, the antiques store across the street, and the Bent Penny!! Husband and I really liked the historic feel of the room. Tall ceilings, big crown molding and wood floors. Very comfortable and spacious. View of the boutiques on the street that we browsed on arrival. Location was a short drive to downtown Peoria with free parking across the street. Appreciated a quiet room without the noise of a heater or air running. No need with the tall ceilings. The temp was perfect on a super hot weekend outside. Especially loved the coffee shop on the main level. It made the Inn smell like warm cookies and coffee. The decor was a cozy mix of modern and nostalgic from its past Bank roots. Quiche and scones were delicious. We’ll definitely be staying there again.

My husband and I have been here several times over the years- every time has been nothing short of wonderful. The only tiny complaint I noticed from this past weekends stay is that the bar that is in the same building can get loud, and they don’t close until 2AM. However, let the staff know and they not only let you borrow a white noise machine (super helpful) and call the bar and ask them to turn it down, which helped tremendously. We love it and will continue to come back! 😍

My husband and I booked two rooms at the Cornerstone Inn as we were traveling with my elderly mother to spend Thanksgiving with friends in a nearby town. We chose this property because of its uniqueness, closeness to shops and reviews that said it was quiet. However, during our 4-day, 3-night stay I kept thinking of a quote from The Grinch, "The noise, noise, noise, noise!" There was more noise in the inn from other guests than what we anticipated; including people coming in to the property and talking and laughing loudly in the halls late in the evening. But the bigger problem came from outside. Late at night there were people coming in and out of the bar located in the basement of the property. They would stand outside by their cars arguing and shouting. Also, the night before Thanksgiving it sounded like there was live music in the bar and the music went on late into the night. Then there are the trucks. We thought that it would be quiet in this small town. However, there must be a FedEx hub nearby because trucks were going through the roundabout at all hours of the day and night, sometimes several trucks in a row. Other traffic was loud as well. It seems as though the town square on which the property is located is a main thoroughfare for the area. We all got very little sleep for the three nights we were there. While the rooms are clean and spacious, the property itself is a bit inconvenient. First, the entrance is not in an obvious place. We had to get help from an employee at the coffee shop located on the main floor to even find it in the dark. Also, the inn does not have its own parking lot. You have to park in a public parking lot nearby. There is a spot where you can park to load and unload for 15 minutes that is right by the door. Then, there are no luggage carts to haul your bags up to the third floor. There is an elevator, but when you get to the third floor you still have to go up an additional six steps to get to the rooms so the property definitely isn't accessible. There is usually no one at the front desk however, two names and phone numbers are provided of people you can call if you need something. When you arrive you find an envelope with your name on it lying on the front counter and it has your room keys in it. The heating/cooling system seems to have a mind of its own and we could not successfully keep the temperature in our rooms regulated as we wanted them. Sometimes the system would run even though we had it turned off! The "breakfast" is a selection of cereals, fruit and prepackaged rolls. Not great but better than nothing. We wish we had stayed at our usual suites hotel. My advice, stay somewhere else.

we love coming to this location , stayed in rm 7 the first time and loved it , came back on Wednesday and was in rm 1 , cool room and easy to get to , but the noise outside of the windows was tough to get past and be able to sleep . will come back for sure next time but will request rm 7 again .

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. In the morning, we enjoyed breakfast and coffee at the cafe that is conveniently located in the same building. In the evening, we could enjoy a cocktail in the bar also located downstairs. The room was clean, had a nice view, and within walking distance of cute boutiques and other nice shops. We would absolutely stay again.

Wow! Cornerstone Inn was the perfect experience for my Mom’s birthday surprise. Such a treat to stay in a welcoming, cozy and beautiful place. Our room had a full kitchen for our surprise dinner and the windows and high ceilings were so beautiful. Character beyond character with the exposed brick walls and the wood floors. Thanks for a great stay. The booking was seamless and very pleasant. We will be back. Thank you

My husband and I attended The Barn 111 in Goodfield IL dinner theater for our 21st Wedding Anniversary. We wanted a bed and breakfast to stay in that night. We also try to support local businesses. This place was unique, the room was very spacious, nice large walk-in shower, very comfortable bed. It was nice to meet the owner Josie. It you have an opportunity stay in the Cornerstone Inn. You will not be disappointed!
