5 Stars, easy. Nice gym, good location, but best of all, great coaching. Finding a good coach that's truly invested in their students is critical for growth in any martial art. Look no further than Core. I was truly impressed by the attentiveness, focus, and drive to see the students grow and become better grapplers, even to a stranger passing through. Wish I could have caught a striking class too, but hey, such is life. As for the other gym goers, they all seemed like good people, all there to better themselves. 100% recommend, just make sure you put the work in.

My review is from a parents perspective with having two young kids enrolled @ Core. The word Amazing isn’t enough of a word to describe what Core has done for my kids. My son has been training hard with core for three years now, my daughter 6 month behind him, the confidence my kids carry with them now is unmatched, ability to think in a micro second not just on the Matt but in every day life and be confident in the answer they gave or response to a question. Respect… that’s a big word! And the kids have it, they know what it means along with how to give it AND earn it. Leadership is something that can be developed and inherited, kids can and will learn it at Core. Self driven to be better is a good word to use, kids are competitive and wanna win however the support I see Core kids give each other is unreal. They push each other and help each other to be better. Self defense ! My kids will not be a victim. And they will not tolerate bullies. I have watched many kids develop through Core and it truly is awesome to see. Do yourself and your kids a solid and sign up.

I would highly recommend you check this place out. My daughter Breanna loves her time learning jiu-jitsu at this place! She has been a student for the last 4 years and I have seen her grow and mature as a person tremendously with the aid of the instructors here. She is introverted by nature but has learned to be assertive without becoming overly aggressive. She competes against herself, continuously improving her skills to become better each time she goes through class. The instructors make a point to push kids to be their best and to have a positive impact on their growth and development, making the lessons geared to a positive lifestyle for the kids to live.

We joined the Core family a few months ago and I can say it’s been such an amazing experience. It has brought our family so much closer together. It’s something that we all love and enjoy. If you want your kids to build resilience, patience, learn to focus, and learn self-discipline then give Core a call! They have adult classes too! I have so much respect for all of the coaches who genuinely care about all of their students. Not only has it brought our family together but it’s given us a new family. Get your kids off of the electronics and into what can be a lifelong sport!

I called to talk with Tommy to ask about several programs of the martial arts in depth regarding his philosophy, specific details in physical and psychological aspects and specific training for different age groups. He was superbly professional, courteous, detailed, interesting and very helpful! He definitely is very dedicated and is a positive force to make our community better. I think his programs are definitely designed to achieve growth in each individual who participates. I plan to challenge myself to try it.

I have been taking a kickboxing class for several months at Core Combat. I was really leery about doing so at first because I have some health issues, I'm very directionally challenged, I struggle with anxiety, and despite the fact that a lot of people think I'm in my 40's, I'm actually in my 50's. Basically, a hot mess! However, after speaking with Coach Tommy, I felt I had received enough assurance from him that he and his team would be able to work with me. I have been totally impressed and amazed with him and Coach Jim!! They have been simply amazing! I'm learning skills and gaining strength and confidence! Sometimes I still struggle picking up a move, or a series of movements that is taught in the class, and Coach Jim will come over and do it right next to me so I don't fall behind. He goes around the whole class to make sure everyone understands and are doing the punches, kicks, knees, takedowns, etc. correctly. It can be kind of a tough workout, but it's a fun and safe (and legal ) way to get rid of the days frustrations and aggression! The coaches are VERY highly skilled in martial arts ( I've also worked with Coach Ryan and he is fantastic too! ), and everyone I have been partnered up with treats you like a friend that wants to build you up. Try a class - You won't be disappointed!!

This is the easiest 5 stars ever given. Coach Tommy and the entire Core Combat staff have created an amazing experience for both kids and adults. Our entire family of four are members at Core Combat. From day one we have been impressed with the teaching, structure and FUN of the classes for both the youth and adults. CORE is teaching my boys not only great Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (both competition and real life application), but also teaches them to be healthy, disciplined and confident about themselves. All these skills are directly helping them succeed in their school life as well and making them into well rounded and disciplined individuals. I can not recommend Core Combat enough!!!

Great programs! My daughter, Niece and nephews in there jujitsu program. She absolutely loves it!They r big on teaching the kids self-respect and the sport! They go out of there way to make shure they r giving each kid the attention they need to progress!
