Coral Roc Motel - Featured Reviews (163)
Rooms are non-refundable. Even when you arrive and the room has women’s underwear and bra left lying on the bed. Even when there are used unsanitary items left lying in the bathroom. Even when the pillowcases and sheets are dirty. They will still not give you a refund so you can take your money elsewhere. They asked for an additional $10 key deposit, or you can leave your IS. On checkout, there was no staff. Several other guests has left their passports and drivers license. We just walked away from our cash deposit, others were stuck for hours until someone came back. Wish I could give this one zero stars.
The manager is amazing very nice and such a sweetheart. She made sure everything was on point. She always made sure my kid's were safe in the pool and we had everything we needed. Please don't always judge a motel by it's review. I have seen guest acting up and because they didn't get it there way and they are quick to post anything negative but management is just doing there job and keeping everyone safe with the COVID-19 but, there is always a bad apple from the tree to not follow rules and get mad and post a bad review and make this motel look bad. There price are very fair and very clean room's. Give them a try it's a lot better then the other motel's around here. They are by far better managed then super 8. Super 8 staff are very rude plus they charge a $50 deposit that you never get back and will not check on you if you need anything or clean your room. So with that being said give them a try you wont be disappointed. You will thank me later. Thank you for your service and will definitely come back again.
Love the staff love the energy and vibe of the place.. the pool is always sparkling clean looks refreshing. The parking area and the sidewalk is always clean. Has washer and dryer allows pets which is great.. its completely different from a few years back.. its nice and has come a long way..
After the Nascar race we were so tired and hoping to find a local hotel instead of driving back up to Miami to stay at the Loews hotel. Thankfully, they had a vacancy. This is a small quaint motel, but well cared for and worth every cent of the rate we paid of $89. We had a king room with a refrigerator and microwave. The room was very spacious and extremely clean. No dust or mold anywhere. Carpets were fresh and looked pretty new. The bed was also very comfy. We had our service dog with us and there was a really nice place out back to go for a walk. Lots of grass in complete privacy. It's pretty cool. The man at the front desk was very friendly. Nothing bad to say about this place. Just wished the checkout would have been at noon instead of eleven. Maybe consider changing that as we would gladly stay the next time we are in Homestead. Just need a later checkout. (we are not morning people) hahah
Definitely a place to avoid staying. This place was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The lady at the front desk was very nice but asked us if we had a $100 cash deposit to put down, I asked her where it asked for that and she said that it said it when we booked it. She ended up saying Never mind when we told her we didn’t have $100 in cash. I actually checked afterwards and couldn’t find that information ANYWHERE. I found that very suspicious. There were literally people everywhere around the hotel loitering and hanging out outside of the rooms. Our bathtub had dirt everywhere inside of it. There was a puddle of water behind the bathroom door, there was absolutely no soap anywhere in the room, there was a rag on top of the shower rod and there was literally the same toilet paper from the person before and it was less then half of a roll that we ran out of THAT SAME NIGHT! There was none anywhere else in the room. We were also thirsty and looking for water and the vending machines outside were completely empty. The room did have hot water and a working television but definitely would never ever ever stay here again and do not recommend it.
The hotel itself isn't bad, the rooms were clean and for the most part well maintained. The décor was dated but for the price that is expected. Our bathroom window did not shut because it was the older jalousie style and the tiling had been installed such that the handle could not turn. A pillow shoved in the window kept out the mosquitoes though. Some of the mattresses have plastic covers which are a little noisy but our main complaint was the owner. While not a super friendly individual, he does watch the place like a hawk. Almost to a fault. He also raised the quoted price by $10 in the thirty minutes after making the reservations to driving there and again by $12 the next day when extending. He tried to raise it by $30 but compromised when there was no way we would pay that much for that quality of a room. Very stereotypical greedy innkeeper. If you need a room and can't find a better one this place will do, however don't expect too much.
Decently priced and pretty quiet, with police details coming in and out keeping out the rift raft rooms are spacious motel is under maintenance but all problems fixed shortly after being pointed out all in all not the worst place I have stayed.
I was a little worried about this place after reading some of the reviews, but it wasn't that bad. The room was clean, though it did smell a little like bleach. It has your standard 2 bed layout. The beds are not the best and my back hurt the next day. The door used actually keys, which isn't good because the door locks don't get changed in between guests. So don't leave valuables in the room. The outside wall is paper thin, so some road noise did make it into the room. Also anyone walking past the room talking can be easily heard. The final thing to note is that we got this room as it was the cheapest place to stay near Miami with a dog. We booked the room through Orbitz as it allowed dogs. To our surprise, when we showed up and we were told that our room wasn't one that allowed pets. Grrrr. The front desk lady was nice and they ended up letting my friend's dog stay in the room. Overall, it wasn't a bad place to stay. And was worth the price for the area if you have a pet.
We occasionally find this paradise of sweets on our journey to the Everglades. The best key lime pie we ever had. The original and guava flavor are the best while the rest are also delicious. It should be on the must-go list for every South Florida v
Let me say that this was some very good food it doesn't look like much from the outside but it is very quiet inside, the food was very good the pork the beef and chicken was great, I've seen in Florida City!! Made with love and spice will be back aga
Steak and shrimp was fresh and delicious, service was great. Highly recommend the cactus flower. Their signature fresh baked bread was sweet with some spices like cinnamon, quite different than usual bread yet we did enjoy it with salty butter. Overa
We came for breakfast and really enjoyed everything that we ordered (coffee, eggs, sausages, home fries, French toast, omelette, and steak+eggs). They have so many seafood options and Iâd love to come back and try their lunch and dinner offerings.
I visited Top Taste Jamaican Restaurant on my way to Key West and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the food. The jerk chicken was tender and flavorful, the rice and peas were cooked to perfection, and the plantains were sweet
I am surprised that this is a Best Western property. It is a vast contrast to their other properties that I have stayed at. The location is great but that is all that is good about it. I travel a lot and I try to stay within an amount to be sure to g
