Copley LaReine Motel - Motel in Old Orchard Beach - 8 Harrisburg St, USA

Très bien situé, à deux pas de la plage et des attractions de la ville. La chambre était très bien, rénové avec plancher de céramique, lit très confortable, salle de bain très propre avec de nouvelles serviettes chaque jours. L’air climatisé fonctionne très bien, kitchenette bien équipé. Le staff est très courtois et travaille très fort. Café gratuit tout les matins à la réception. Seul bémol, nous avions demandé une vue sur l’océan. On nous a répondu qu’il faut réserver 1 an d’avance et que les chambres avec vue sont 400$ la nuit. Nous avions réservé 6 mois d’avance, donc nous avons eu une vue sur le parking.

We had a spectacular view of the ocean as our room was facing it. We loved our day at the beach and enjoyed the waves. The parking attendant was professional and friendly. We were surprised that clean towels were never brought inside our room but left in a plastic bag on the chair on the balcony. The garbage pails were never emptied in the days we were there. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay!

On the beach, walking distance to the pier, the amusement park and lots of restaurants. Clean rooms, indoor pool. Lots of parking and very easy to get in and out of. Edited to say, while yes it's a bit dated and small rooms, if you're staying at a beach side Motel, you're there for everything around it... not to stay inside at a Motel. It's a clean roof over your head. Towels delivered daily, this was the perfect location to walk to all the sites and bars in the area.

Very clean and comfortable. Manager, Paul, was very nice. Housekeeping was phenomenal. I've been staying there for at least 20 years and have never had a complaint. Right on the beach, too, and only a short walk to the downtown area for restaurants and stores.

We booked a room at the Copley LaReine for an overnight stay because they had rooms with an ocean view. The view to the ocean was awesome. That is about the only thing this place has going for it though. This is a 2 star motel at best. The room was clean, but very dated, and plain. It was a roof over our heads, and not much more. When we woke in the morning, there was no hot water. We alerted the office at 7:30 about this (by the way, there is no phone in the room for contacting the office) - and the man said 'We'll look into it'. We never heard back. We cleaned up as best we could from the sink, and packed up and checked at a 9 to start our day exploring the area. When checking out, I asked the manager if we would be compensated for not having hot water and not being able to shower. He said (with a tough luck buddy attitude) 'We are informing our guests that the can use a shower in another room'. I asked him why he didn't bother to inform us of this in the 1 1/2 hours since I initially called, and he just reiterated that there was the offer to use a shower in another room. Well, we were dressed and packed, so I just walked away frustrated. Extremely poor customer service.

Facilities were slummy. Light/fan fixture had switches removed and as far as I could tell was completely nonfunctional. Air conditioning was sketchy and couldn't keep the desired temperature. Hole in the wall behind the front door. Bed and pillows were horrendously uncomfortable. Blinds didn't block the light streaming in from the light fixtures on the front balcony which were always on, making it difficult to sleep. Refrigerator would be better described as a freezer. Frequent stench of marijuana from several scummy neighbors who would smoke right on the main balcony, even with children nearby. The room didn't even have a coffeemaker included (we had to ask the front desk and they borrowed one from a room with a kitchenette, but was not included in the beachfront room by default). For $273/night I expected FAR better accommodations. Do not waste your money here.

Une première fois après plusieurs années a Old Orchard, agréablement surprises.. Chambre avec deux lits Queen, micro ondes, cafetière, grille pain et petit frigo matelas très confortable, personnel courtois, très près du Pier, je crois que nous avons adopté cet endroit, a l'année prochaine.

The rooms are much smaller than described in pictures. We booked a “suite”’and it was literally just a room with two beds next to eachother there wasn’t even a couch or anything. The WiFi did not work we had to run the TV off our phones hotspot. There are blinds in the window but they let in all the light at night from outside the door. The door Lock was also alittle shady. The heated pool was heated and nice my two year old enjoyed that, but it looked nothing like what was pictured. The man at the office was very friendly. We only stayed for one night so this was ok for us I couldn’t imagine staying more than a couple nights here and being comfortable. The location is really the only draw.
