Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant- Lee's Summit - American restaurant in Lee's Summit - 540 NW Chipman Rd, USA

This was our first time visiting Cooper’s Hawk. The staff are amazing. We did the wine tasting which lasted about 45 minutes and our allowed us to try other wines not on the list. The food was great my wife loved the Parmesan Crusted steak and drunken shrimp. She mentioned “I can hear the chefs laughing and I can taste the fun and love in the food”

Good experience for us tonight. Our Drunken Shrimp appetizer was so good I ordered another for my entree. My wife had short ribs. Very good. Lemon butter cake was great.

The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We went for our anniversary dinner. Will go back, especially for wine tasting.

I’m not really a review writer, but our experience was bad enough to warrant a review. My husband and I went here for our first wedding anniversary. We made our reservation for 8p on a Sat. We went to check in at the hostess stand and were brushed off. We ended up getting sat at 8:30. Our server, Jennifer, was absolutely wonderful. She helped put us back in a better mood. She was kind, funny, and knowledgeable about the menu. Most things on the menu they were out of. We ended up ordering the shrimp appetizer to share. My husband got the surf and turf with the part steak medallions and scallops gratin. I got the Dana’s chicken. It took a full hour to receive our food. Once it arrived, around 9:25p we had to ask for the mashed potatoes that were supposed to go with his and he was missing a steak medallion. My cheesy potatoes came out raw/crunchy and the chicken wasn’t nearly as good as when I had it on the plaza. If we weren’t totally starving at this point, I would have not eaten. We were going to order dessert to really give them a chance to redeem themselves, but again they were out of almost everything. I understand chefs and people have off days, but when you spend $150, you expect to have a good experience. This was not. To be fair, the green beans that came with my food and the pretzel bread they gave us was good. Plus, the bathrooms were clean. But if it wasn’t for our server, I would have counted the experience as a total loss. I wouldn’t waste your money here. On the way home my husband and I wondered if they have good reviews because they have good alcohol and people drink enough to not notice how long orders took, that orders are wrong, or that the food was not great.

Our waitress was AMAZING! Her name was GEENA!!!! She was so personable!!! The Jambalaya was delicious!! My husband thought the Leonard burger was pretty good! Wassabi butter was on my husband’s mashed potatoes, he thought they were delicious.

The Chicken Madeira was incredible! The sauce was decadent, asparagus was perfectly cooked and mashed potatoes were to die for. Great food and awesome service!

Everything was great...from the greet at the door till our food was served...but when noticed that we came in on the daily lunch time on a Sunday we wanted to take advantage...but the server was gone for awhile so we could place to order but then came back to us saying we have 7mins left to order ...well we noticed the time 35mins prior so that was a little irritating ...she was good but that took some points off. We know doors open and close all the time but the flies were ridiculous...might as well ate outside.

This place has been on my bucket list for a while and I just randomly ended up here tonight. I'm grateful for the turn of events that brought me here. The service was perfect. My server was upbeat, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She helped guide me to a wonderful meal and accompanying beverages. I sat in the big, open bar area and it was great place to linger over a truly enjoyable, perfectly cooked meal.
