Quiet and rustic little motel. Customer service and location were great. I didn't see the reviews about bed bugs until after checking in and going to town. I checked and there were none in our room. New beds and pillows for sure. We'll definitely be back
We had the newly remodeled room with a king bed facing a big field. We sat out there in the evening on (plastic) chairs they provided. We saw deer and fireflies. The room was clean. They said the mattress was new. There is well-water so the shower head is rusty but there was water pressure. The owner was attentive and available.
We were looking for a cozy motel close tot the beaches of Indiana Dunes. We were a bit tired of the rather unpersonal chain options, usually situated next to a busy road, and were happy to stumble upon this charming place! The service was warm en personal, the room cozy and clean. The staff is always available. They also seemed to have started renovating the place. It is already super nice now, and it seems the dedicated staff and owners are busy upgrading it further. Highly recomended for the atmosphere and location (and the fireflies!) A very quiet and quant little hotel. I was stuck here after an accident for 4 days. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating to me and my dog.
Positive: Nice, clean room. Comfortable bed. Negative: There was hardly any water in the shower. Water smelled of rust. THIS WAS A BIG ISSUE.

Great little place in a lovely setting. I liked that it’s a little off the beaten path. We stopped overnight midway through a move cross-county. The room was very clean, way more so than the last few ‘chain’ places we stayed in. We were very comfortable. Melinda was super helpful, and Tom was nice as well. :-D
