Cool River Coffee House - Cafe in Breckenridge - 325 S Main St, USA

Went for coffee and breakfast. The breakfast burrito was large (good size for the cost). It was really good and the service was excellent, even when they were busy. We had the White Pistachio Mocha and the Mexican Orange Mocha, both were great, the white chocolate does down out the pistachio flavor.

Cool River coffee house was one of our few choices for early breakfast. Most places open at 8am however cool River coffee house opens at 7am. Coffee was amazing and we were given the choice between light roast in dark roast. The chocolate croissant was fresh and delicious and we had some breakfast as well which was also great. They have a lot of choices both for breakfast and lunch. When I was there early morning, it wasn’t busy but two hours later there was a huge queue. This place is very popular and for a good reason. Highly recommend it, and I will visit again.

We chose it for celebratory breakfast and were not disappointed! The quinoa bowl is delicious, the meat and potato sandwich was a little different than what we expected but good. The best part though were the cinnamon rolls!!! We ended having 2. One of the best we've ever tried (and we try them everywhere).

Really loved this place. The veggie breakfast burrito was genuinely perfect (and high quality), and the atmosphere was awesome. Nice to eat breakfast with good music and blue river views!

I've been coming to Breck for years and just now found out about this gem. Hands down best breakfast I've ever had here and likely won't be going anywhere else ever again. The coffees were amazing and the food fantastic. The breakfast quesadilla is a must. Everything is more than reasonably priced.

Came here for a late breakfast and we were happy with our orders. The morning cocktails were refreshing and light. I had a breakfast sandwich with prosciutto, Swiss cheese and avocado and it was great.

I expected a lot more after reading so many comments about this being the best coffee place in Breck. Maybe that's not a compliment! I haven't had a great cup of coffee in town yet -- certainly not here. My husband and I both ordered a mocha and the staff made both at the same time, unevenly sharing between our two cups. His drink was tasteless foam with a bit of coffee taste at the bottom. Mine was pretty much all tasteless foam. My husband liked his biscuit sandwich though the biscuit was distinctively overcooked. I got a blueberry muffin. It looked great on top but it was blah cake with a couple of blueberries inside. I legitimately make better blueberry muffins at home. I don't recall seeing prices on any of the menus. Frustrating. Dining area inside feels kinda dingy and outside was wet and unwelcoming. Alas.

TL;DR This is where the locals eat. Good food, great services, good vibes. They take #GlutenFree seriously. -more- We have been visiting Cool River for years. Whenever we visit Breckenridge, we always stop by Cool River for a delicious gluten-free breakfast sandwich and a well-crafted cup of coffee. They offer a wide variety of sweet treats and savory options, perfect for anyone who is hungry or hungover. If you arrive during peak hours, the interior will be crowded, but seating is available on the patio or the path next to the river. It is rare for me to review the staff at a coffee shop, but this one is impressive. From the cashier to the baristas and kitchen staff, everyone knows their station and performs it with a smile. You may even have your food delivered to your table on the patio by the chef who made it.
