Continental House of Pancakes - Breakfast restaurant in South Holland - 1545 E 162nd St, USA

Stopped by for breakfast. Let me tell you, the food was good and the portions are massive. Our server (Artis) was awesome and suggested a few dishes. The wife went with the mexican omlette and pancakes. I had the salmon patties, cheese grits, and blueberry pancakes. The place was clean. It's just dated. They have a large selection to please anyone. Stop by when going through Chicago, and you need something to eat.

I felt welcomed from the time I entered this restaurant...felt like home and the food was excellent. I had a Belgian waffle with eggs and bacon. Everyone was great! The waitress and owner went back and forth about who was going to show us to our seats lol. He is funny and have a genuine personality.

OMG!!!! It was really good, I had French toast with cream cheese and strawberries, eggs with cheese extra crispy bacon and shrimp and grits. My baby had the farmers skillet sausage and pancakes....maaaan...I had to tap out. Our server (I HATE I CANT REMEMBER HER NAME, IT BEGAN WITH A 'C', but she had her hair in a big puff and it was reddish) SHE'S A SWEETHEART!!!!!!! The chef laid that food out!!! It was such a positive atmosphere and the employees and customers had such positive attitudes We WILL be returning!!! The guy who checked me out had a smile and was very pleasant.... I saw a customer's order of chicken and waffles and I want some!!! 2 waffles and 4 wings, just the right amount!!! So I advise you to go check out Continental, in the same parking lot as the Love's truck stop/gas station!!! You wont be disappointed, you will be glad I sent you!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK CONTINENTAL STAFF, YALL COOK AND SERVE WITH LOVE!!!!! They seem to have a bit of southern hospitality up in there!!!❤❤❤❤

Such a cute little place! I loved it. The staff were all really nice and personable. My step mom and I got two wraps both with fries and I asked for barbacue suace with mine. I really enjoyed my meal and if I'm ever nearby again I'd be happy to stop there again. And both soups were so delicious just like grandma's home cooked soup.

I did a call in order for two omelettes one with onions, one omelette without onions. I specifically told them to label everything and to make sure there were no onions in the second omelet because the other person eating the omelette was allergic to onions. What I received was two omelets with onions in them. Thank goodness the other party found them before she ate them. When I called to let them know what happened and asked for a refund at least for that omelette( Even though the other omelet was greasy and disgusting ).I was met with hostility and an extremely argumentative man that said I could not have a refund and he would not remake it because they were closing. Then fought me trying to get my money back from my bank through a dispute when he knew what was going on. DONT EAT HERE.

Food was amazing and generous portions! Waitress was kind just perfect not over you the whole time. Atmosphere was quiet and warm. I has seafood skillet.

This place just won't mess. Everything and I mean everything is good. I've been going everyday this week and still find something new. Their menu is huge. As a trucker, it's perfect because I walk over from the Loves❤️ travel center. I promise you will not be disappointed and more that likely have some left for later. They have big portions, so well worth the money. To be on the road as much as I am they serve real home cooked meals. I've had the No Hand breakfast sandwich, the breakfast burger, croissant sandwich , and their oatmeal so far. I'll highly recommend this place and promise you'll be back!
