It is a nice garden to walk around or rest on a grass. You can see the Washington Monument from here. Also, it is right next to the Lincoln Memorial. There is a pond that living creatures live.
I like the view of Washington Monument pictures from this place more than in front of the Reflecting pool.
This beautiful garden and memorial to the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence is on land that was actually under the Potomac. The memorial itself consists of the names and granite signatures of the signers. The beautiful area, reminiscent of the surrounding wetlands, provides a nice park atmosphere to relax and contemplate these nascent american leaders and their role in the creation of this great country.
Constitution Gardens is the perfect place to walk, bike, jog and enjoy the peaceful nature of the area. It gives visitors a nice break from the noise and stress of city life.
There are a lot of great locations on the National Mall for wedding and engagement portraits, but Constitution Gardens might well be the best one. It gives you the main thing you want when you do a photoshoot on the Mall -- glorious views of DC's most famous landmarks. From the island in the middle of Constitution Gardens' pond, you can see the Washington Monument rising in the background nearby. At the same time, this location gives you a nature-y vibe that you don't get elsewhere. The aforementioned island has a really lovely willow tree that gives a bit of shade and adds a splash of color to the portraits. There's also a few cherry blossom trees not far from the pond, so you have the option of including those in your photos in the spring. Overall a great spot for wedding and engagement pictures!
Please note that because the National Park Service administers this land, permits are required for all commercial photoshoots.
Fun for the family... No activities, but it's a nice place for a walk if you can find a parking spot.
This is a beautiful park with a pond, ducks, birds and other wildlife plus benches to sit and relax so you can take in the peaceful scenery. This gem is hidden right in the open between the Washington monument and the reflecting pool. If you walk along the sidewalk you will bypass it but it can be seen from the sidewalk and holds more than what the eye can see from there. I definitely suggest checking out.
Let me start by saying I'm posting a review solely for those looking for insights about portrait photography at this location! Our photography team (LVERphoto.com) loves photographing couples here. It is an often-overlooked spot for photos because there are so many exciting, iconic spots right nearby but we find that this is a perfect secondary option for couples wanting the classic DC monuments photos! There is rarely anyone else around, and if there are people, its just a few. The pond is lovely and there are pretty trees all around!
If you're a photographer or couple interested in a photoshoot here, you do need to apply for and obtain a photography permit from the NPS. You should apply at least 2 weeks in advance, because their processing time is a minimum of 2 weeks. It is $140, but a photographer can use that permit for a full day (so if you have multiple shoots scheduled in a day, this will cover all of them!).
Overall, would highly recommend this spot! :)
Loved my visit here. Symbolic and beautiful, lot of open spaces, just an overall awesome place to visit. Take a walk, take in the views and snap memories of this country's capital.
Memorial of The Great Abraham Lincoln, The Washington Monument and The Reflection Pool all are just marvelous. Do not forget to drive down the street as well to see the Smithsonian, the Capitol Building and so much more beautiful structures.
Carpe Diem good people.

One of the best places to spot the beautiful and iconic cherry blossoms which draw the whole world to DC. Here are some pics that were taken during sunset that give the pink beautiful flowers, a golden glow. Must visit during the peak bloom time!
Awesome little neighborhood park. Literally a hidden gem, tucked away between houses. The neighborhood association and City do a great job of keeping it up. It is a bit small and crowds quickly.

This is a little-known treasure in SW Washington, DC. It was a gift from the women and children of the Titanic to the men, most of whom died, who chose to stay aboard the sinking ship to make room in the life boats for women to children. This inspiri
Had a great time touring the Capitol. We had to reserve a time to go on but totally worth it. The tour guide was informative and funny. They use these head phone sets which enable you to hear the guide no matter how far back from them you are. It is
We went there for a brisk evening walk, never expecting the Sun to be very intense. But so it was. Apart from that, this place is very beautiful. There are some restaurants adjacent to the waterfront where people can dine outside. The park is clean a
This is one of the nicest small trails in this region of the Rock Creek Park area. The trail crosses a little creek several times. The forest is pleasant and green, and the walk is fairly easy. The trail ends near the Peirce Mill site in Rock Creek.
Great park away from the busy part of town. Free parking. Great for cycling and running. Kids play structure on the south side. Really enjoyed spending time here during our visit to DC.
Shady respite from the bustle of Connecticut Ave, bountiful birdsong, a few more cicadas in recent days, and friendly neighbors. Several creek crossings - choose your footwear well and bring a camera!
Went sledding here with some friends, inspired by my memories of sledding there during Snowpocalypse when I was at AU. It lived up to my rosy mems and did not disappoint! I would be a little cautious because you gain serious speed, and my friend actu
