Cool CT river find in Cromwell. Well off the beaten path so not many folks around. Lots of bird activity and one drone. Plenty of parking and several park benches / tables and a pavilion.
It's a nice open space which hosts the weekly outdoor market each Friday during nice weather. It took me a while to figure out how to get here, as you can see it next to the Rt9 exit, but it appears closed from main street. Boat launch, picnic tables, commonly people fishing, bathrooms, small garden, walking path.
A green quite and calm place perfect for studying with nature. i saw one catching fish as well and few go for boating with their own boats. never so crowded, i liked the serenity....
We love this area to put in our car top boat. Usually easy to get in and out of the river. People also fish from the shore here. Make sure you carry out what you carry in. There are no garbage cans and if people leave their trash, beer can and left over fishing stuff the area gets dirty really quick. Help keep our outdoor spaces beautiful for everyone.

Felt like getting out of the house so we packed a picnic lunch went down to the riverfront. Parked the car and ate our lunch inside because it was cold outside. We just relaxed and looked out at the beautiful water and grounds.

I have never had a bad time or meal while visiting Digger's. I also have enjoyed many birthday parties and other events . They have a semi private banquet room and a large menu to order from when having parties big or small .
