In August, my husband & I took my 2 youngest grandkids on tour in Michigan. We visited Conking Heritage Park. There was a Fur Traders re-enactment festival the 3rd thru they 8th. It was awesome! Its a beautiful little park
Great open space to go for a stroll alone, with family, or with a four legged friend. Wonderful views of the water. Very relaxing. In walking distance of quaint shops, eateries, etc.

Went to go see the fireworks, but apparently they were not happening today. We were disappointed. Other than that, the parking was plenty and the open space was great. The bugs were awful, but what are ya ganna do. Bring spray! And a net if u have one! Lol.

Note that your website has Lake Huron misspelled (not Heron, that's a species of bird that lives here). The park is just south of downtown and has access to piers along Lake Huron. The amphitheater is great. However, during the Canadian Geese also love it and leave millions of thank-you tokens behind to show their appreciation. The city could & should put forth more effort to keep it more usable.

Gorgeous views of the Mackinaw bridge! I have pictures of my 7yo here when he was a toddler running through the sand. Now my 19mo old gets to enjoy the same park. There's swimming allowed here, but there's also a sign posted to swim at your own risk.

This is a great winery! Service was excellent, and for $16.95, you can have a tasting and take home a glass. Mice selection of dry, sweet, and dessert wines. We enjoy everything and the experience. There are plenty of bottles to buy as well.
