Congress Inn - Motel in South Hackensack - 370 US-46, USA

If I could, I would rate it zero star. I stayed here for two weeks last year, and I didn't find it as bad. I asked several times not to be bothered, but even with the sign, they kept knocking at the door. People working here have no respect. Also, the rooms are in very bad condition, everything is falling apart, even the sheets.

The police were questioning guests in a room near mine and another guest was dressed pretty “ghetto”. No bedbugs after a careful check in seams under mattress. Crumbs on sheets, TV didn’t work, (remote’s batteries and TV connections were fine, TV plugged in); floor was dry but sticky from the wax mopping fluid wrong for that flooring. Drapes didn’t close and were fixed in place (!!!!), making it impossible to manually pull them together, so I used clothes hangers to pull and clip the lower parts together for privacy. Toilet was insufficiently cleaned. Cigarette burns on sheets. “Incorrect PW” message when I used the PW the desk clerk gave me even after I clarified it with him 3 times. No genuine apology from clerk about no WiFi and no working TV. PC 15 minutes before checkout telling me it was checkout time - oh yeah, they made sure to make THAT part right. I suspect they make their money pimping. Who needs amenities and closing drapesyttew for that?

50 stars was the option that's what this place would be the cleaning lady she harasses me I let her know my son is sleeping you have to come back She bangs hollers and screams she needs to clean the thing is she's not cleaning. When she came in the room the first time she came she threw my personal belongings. She's knocking on the door banging on the door and windo This place needs to be investigated and shut down

Stay here only when there is no other choice.🤢😟 The room was dirty. The bathroom hasn't been cleaned🧬. The sheets on the bed look like they had been on there for some time🦠🕷. The Mini fridge didn't work. Look I wasn't expecting the Hilton for the price$$, but atleast clean. When we went down to the front desk to request clean sheets to make the beds ourselves they didn't even have access to clean sheets🤬🤯. We were told "nothing could be done until 8 am the next day". No other room were available.. Thank Goodness a Walmart for down the street where we could purchase the items we needed towels and sheets.

I've been here 3 months. Haven't had too many issues. The ac broke and had to wait until morning but other than that everything is fine. No bugs or pests that I've seen. Good internet and ok TV selections. Better than living in my car which is the alternative.

This place is the most disgusting establishment I have ever seen in my life. Bed bug ridden property, everything is broken, sticky or looks like you wouldn't want to touch it without catching something. The owned parks fancy cars in the parking lot to make you think quality people are there. The cleaning ladies do not change the sheets or wash anything. I watched the cleaning lady wipe down the AC and put everything back on the bed. I complained about 205 having bed bugs, they switched me to 410 and it was equally as disgusting. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. There is only a bar of soap in the shower, nothing else is provided. No wifi, no pool. Their pillows even have Holiday Inn tags on them. The bedding is marred with every color stain from yellow to brown to black. I am reaching out to the health dept to see if I can talk to them Do not, I repeat...DO NOT enter any of their rooms. Also, all of the pictures advertising this place or its services/amenities are false!

This motel is absolutely disgusting! I paid for two nights ($180) and it was the worst two nights of my life because they would not give me any money back for everything that went wrong. First off, the sheets are not even clean and they have burn holes. Secondly, the staff is very rude and unreasonable. I was locked in a room for 2 hours and could not get out because the door handle unhinged and there was no possible way for me to get out. They did absolutely nothing but "try" to open the door and make a call to the company that didn't come for the whole 2 hours... but luckily a couple in the next room was able to help me get out and they were able to open the door within 5 minutes but the staff did not do a thing. That was the third room they transferred me into because the other two rooms had mice! I woke up to a mouse eating away at the food in the garbage can and on the counter! I FLIPPED OUT! After being locked in a room for hours and dealing with mice in my room, I will never go back there again. Stay away from this motel, it is very unsanitary.

Ive stayed here 3 seperate times.. each time worse than the last.. the first time was pretty good. room 109. the room was big, clean.. the guy at the office was pretty cool.. the second time was pretty bad.. the room was MUCH smaller, kind of smelled bad, and the quilt had a lot of burn holes. room 410. we had paid to check out at 3. at 1130 a guy knocks on the door, then immediately opens the door! thank god I locked the top of the door cause I was in the middle of changing! the third time we stayed was really horrible.. the guy in the office was miserable, and acted like he didnt even want us here.. we asked for a king bed room.. the first room he gave us had 2 queen beds, and it REAKED! and the floor was damp and a little greasy.. EW! room 509. we immediately went back to him and asked for a new room. when we told him it smelled bad, he said "well, do you think you could stick it out?" we just said no. he said they shampooed the carpets. so he gave us another room. 610. same thing with the floor, but less. didnt smell. we were here for an hour, then went down to pay ahead for the late check out at 3. he was too busy eating his cheeseburger to help us. he said "can you do me a favor and come back and do this in the morning?" we just walked out.
