Coney Island Southside - American restaurant in Monroe - 1414 S 2nd St, USA

I had to wait to get the order I had placed because a worker did not come in. The manager was very apologetic. The Hot tamales were a little bit spicy for me but not too much. I made a hot tamale casserole with them that turned out very well. In my opinion, they are definitely worth the price. I certainly would buy them again.

This is about the only place in Monroe that you can find hot tamales. There is another place but they don't stay open year round. We have been eating at Southside Coney Island for triple digit years. Yes try them out. You won't be disappointed.

When we are in town, my wife always calls in for some tamales. We picked up 7 dozen. We each had a hotdog while we were there. They were both good. The lady at the window was very nice.

Family owned and operated for over 39 years. Each food order is freshly made right after you order by Miss Dottie and her staff.

The best tomales, and their burgers and coney dogs are awesome too. As a matter of fact. Their pricing is still so fair. Those ladies see my smiling face a few times a week .

Great chili cheese dogs 🌭 with homemade chili flavor that I remember growing up. Other menu items are also good👌 - good prices

Love this place. Grew up on the tamales drive all the way from Texas to get them.
