Although the atmosphere seemed great, they’re good doesn’t live up to their prices. I ordered chili cheese fries for $5 and got basically nothing. $5 is a lot for fries lol. Probably won’t go again.

The food was decent and the staff was friendly. Quantity isn’t overwhelming.

Love the dogs, wish the sodas and fries were larger. The prices are getting pretty steep lately as well.. I dropped almost 17$ on 3 dogs, a fry and a soda the other day and it wasn't difficult to eat it all. It's $3 for a plain dog but $3.75 for any other so the prices rack up fast. One size soda and.its what every other place considers a small.or medium these days. Prob 20 oz.

A KalamazooGem. Cannot recommend highly enough. Coney Island checks all of my boxes. I only wish that they were open 24/7. Except that would mean that something had changed. And part of why this is one of my happy places is that nothing has changed in the decades I've been going here. (Well, they used to have a great jukebox.) The food hasn't changed, it tastes exactly as marvelous as it did when I was a kid. The menu is almost exactly the same. They haven't added gluten-free buns or tofu dogs, everything is spotless but the booths and the chairs and the trays and the lighting and even the doorway are just as they always were.. I always order the same thing including a Sprecher root beer in the bottle with a frosted mug. And there's nothing hokey about it. Just simple, delicious, food, authentically friendly, fast service. The consistency of everything is highly unusual in my experience. Even the places that I love occasionally have an off day or night where the service is not that great, or they mix up an order or your favorite dish has too much or too little of something. The clientele is varied but the vibe is always wonderful and low-key. It is small, so if you're there at a busy time you may have trouble getting a table or a booth. But people don't tend to linger so things turn over pretty quickly. It's child friendly. You can get orders to go. (I once got on an Amtrak with two Coney dogs and when I unwrapped them people were literally coming over to me and asking me where I got my food.)

I went in there 10 min before close… sorry. I’ve been really wanting to try this place as the hot dog stand has the worst dogs I’ve ever had. This place gave me HOT hot dogs. Fresh meat on top and an actual cheese sauce. The workers were chill and didn’t act put out that they were closing soon. Every place acts like they dying. I love an average, cheap dog and this won. I’ll be coming here from now on. Thanks guys fr

The people are nice friendly and welcoming it was a great brunch to start my work day.

I purchased the coney dogs and chili cheese fries from here. The prices were outrageous was the first thing I noticed. $3 just to change our cheese from the plastic-y nacho cheese to a shredded. We thought that although we paid a lot more than expected, maybe the portions or taste would make up for it? No... unfortunately not. If you were expecting big box of chili fries or larger than average dogs to fit the price, you will be thoroughly disappointed. the box of fries was smaller than my hand and the dogs were extremely average. The taste was the biggest disappointment of all. It is what prompted me to write this review. The chili wasn't chili at all, just hamburger meat. Dry, loose, unseasoned hamburger meat. Not even chili on the chili dogs. 1/5 stars..

Good food. but now that they redesign the roads downtown. it's not worth going to. need a better location it's a nightmare to try to find somewhere to park and when you do it's a block and a half down from the place.
