Common Block Brewing Company - Restaurant in Medford - 315 E 5th St, USA

Traveling through Medford my wife and I, after much “debate”, decided on Common Block. This is a brewery in a building that used to be a new car showroom. There is inside and outside seating (looks like year round). The wait staff, even though very nice, are there basically to bring the food to you. We didn’t get a single ”how’s your meal” or “is there anything else “. We ordered and paid online (you can go to the counter if you choose) and you can choose make changes/subs online too. For instance, I had the block steak that comes with fries but I was able to sub a Caesar instead. The steak was very moist and very tasty. We had a side of cheese curds that were really good also. My wife had the Kale salad and (I refused to even taste it) she said it was delicious. In short- food good/service not so much.

A must stop if you are in Medford! The atmosphere was great! Lots of outdoor seating with corn hole. Cool outdoor bar. Service was good and decent beer selection. Food was good, had pizza and hummus plate. Prices were good, we fed 4 people( two teenage boys and two adults) with 2 pizzas and the hummus plate. Highly recommend!

Great brewery with an awesome patio setting. The bear was awesome and they also offer a non alcoholic option. The buffalo chicken wrap was really delicious but the pork nachos were just a touch bland. All in all a great location that I would definitely recommend.

Update 5/11/22. Always delicious! Great food experience each and every visit. Update: Their spinach salmon salad is amazing! Nice outside seating with heaters at every table. Outside food cart for convenient ordering and then they bring you your order and provide table service. Food came out quickly. Hot pretzel with cheese dip is yummy. Carrots and cauliflower plate was unique and fun.

Overall, just ok. Beer was pretty good, atmosphere and service were great. But the food, just ok. Had the Cobb 🥗 salad, pretzel which was great, and the panko chicken tenders. The tenders were not good, oddly flat and either chewy and greasy on one side, or tasted like a shoe on the other side. Pass on the entrees, get some pretzels and beer instead.

Great food & fast service! Ordering food was simplified and there was plenty of outdoor seating area space that made it easy on everyone. Very flavorful tacos 🌮 and the fish n chips were perfectly cooked. I recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking for big portions at a great price.

Calm port in the storm! Came in on a rainy and cold January weekday night with my dog. Plenty of outdoor seating with heaters that they fired up right away even though nobody was out there except me, at least initially. Food was great, beer was great. Fantastic friendly and fast service. Highly recommended.

Common Block Brewing Company is a great place to go for a casual meal and a few beers. It has a spacious outdoor patio with cornhole and other games. The food menu features American pub fare, and the beer selection is excellent, with a variety of craft beers on tap, as well as cider. The service is fast and friendly, and the prices are reasonable. The food was delicious. I had the burger which was perfectly cooked and served with a side of tomato soup. My wife had the mac and cheese, which she also really enjoyed. The beer was great. I tried the Common Block Pale Ale, which was hoppy and flavorful, and the Gold Ray Wheat, which was light and refreshing. My wife tried the cider, which she said was crisp and dry. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed. The outdoor patio is a great place to people-watch and enjoy a game of cornhole
