It was very loud due to the bar being attached to the motel so the thumping of the band went on for a while. Then the couple in the next room were fighting and yelling and due to the lack of a good door or sound proofing it kept us awake and of course was not pleasant to listen to. About 2:00 AM we went to the car to see if we had ear plugs. We came back into the room and turned the light on to put them in and saw bed bugs scrambling across the bed. So at 2:30 AM we were Googling another place to go stay. When we went to the office the next day to explain what happened they said oh well, that happens !!
It was awful, starting with the thumping of the band until they quit. Then there was a couple in the room next to us fighting and yelling and due to the lack of a good door or any sound proofing at all it was very loud and kept us awake. In an attempt to block out the noise about 2:00 AM we ran to the car to get ear plugs. When we switched the light on we saw bed bugs scattering in the bed. One of us were bit numerous times. So about 2:30 AM we were Googling another place to go stay. When we went to the office the next morning to report everything they said, well it happens.
My husband stayed here for work for a week, I had brought my kids to stay with him for the last weekend while I worked. He went to the main building to see about renting the room for another week, and then to take our children swimming. An employee told him “There are no pets allowed.” he said “okay that’s fine? We don’t have pets” then she proceeded to say “There are NO Pets allowed!” while gesturing towards our 2 little girls. Husband is complete shock by the disrespectful and unprofessional statement said “Those are my children, they are not pets” and she had chuckled & said “same thing” as she walked away. I tried to call the hotel to talk to anyone about this Interaction and must be no receptionist on duty. I initially thought it was a decent motel, but the people they have working there are disrespectful. Kids and their dad decided to leave early and find another hotel. DONT RECOMMEND; if the same old woman is still working there. Do better.
I was a little hesitant to stay here after reading some of the reviews but I'm happy to say I was pleasantly surprised with my stay. It was only for one night. I was working for a band that played there and the location was most convenient. I was in room 6. It was the furthest from the bar side and in the back of the building. It's a hotel attached to a bar. Obviously there is going to be people noise (especially at bar close) and if a band is playing. We could only hear the bass from the room. It wasn't smoky at all. The sheets were pure white and smelt clean. The bathroom was clean. The fridge was clean and working. The staff was nice. Everything was older. The flooring. The furniture...but in my opinion was well maintained. If you're looking for brand new carpet and tile and a fancy mattress then you're going to have to pay for it. Check out is at noon. That's awesome! The place has a wonderful breakfast starting at 6:30am. I would stay here again no problem :) king size bed in room 6!
Room very dated, very filthy dirty carpet and chairs were stained. Shower wasnt functioning properly , bathroom door was broken, towels old and rough. Though the price was about 1/2 of other local hotels ot was still over priced. Location was convenient attached restaurant was usually understaffed. We will not stay there again unless major updating is done.
For it's type and kind, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean. The tv wasn't ready to go but when called they responded quickly and politely. Could have used coffee/tea service (everyone else does).
People were pretty nice and very helpful hotel is managed by a property managing company so the hotel is to cross the street from where you need to pay and check in restaurant attached and upon arriving at the hotel for the night they had a bingo night going on so I participated in that even though I'm a younger male still had a lot of fun restaurant had decent food.
Great location for a fishing trip. It's close to pelican lake, a gas station/convenience store, and an Ace Hardware with a full bait shop. Price is reasonable as well.
While I haven't stayed here personally my mom used to stay as a kid and loved it. Some of the older cabins retain that old charm. The beach front is clean and has plenty of lounging space. We've used the boat launch here this summer and it's quite d
Went there for the New Years Eve Buffet. Absolutely delicious. Prime Rib made perfectly, crab legs, ribs, chicken, lobster bisque - all so delicious. And a wonderful assortment of excellent desserts. Doesn't get any better. Couldn't be more impressed
I had a FRICKIN blast! There was live music and it was actually GOOD! People were out dancing and having a GREAT time! There were plenty people to talk to and I didnât meet one person who didnât smile back and engage in conversation if I initiate
