Commander-By-The-Sea-Motel - Hotel in Wildwood Crest - 8803 Atlantic Ave, USA

We had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel over Memorial Day weekend. The facility is clean, well maintained and well appointed. The manager who I assume is the owner is readily available to respond to any concern and is usually walking about making sure everything is just right. Cleaning was provided every day and performed discretely and without interruption to our activities. Towels were provided in abundance, but quality of the towels was the only disappointment at this facility. Pool is beautifully maintained along with large deck seating area where we enjoyed coffee in the morning and beverages in the afternoon. Outdoor furniture appears new. Covered area is available for beach chairs and bikes. Property is right on the clean, spacious beach that has the Wildwoods' lovely fine sand. Hotel is close to restaurants and delis perfect for each meal. Bike rentals are within walking distance. Manager accommodated every request. We will definitely return.

This small motel is immaculate. Alex, the manager caters to everyone. The pool area is clean. There is not a spec of dust or sand on the property. Great family environment. The only thing I recommend is bring your own towels. The ones they offer are small. But again a perfect vacation spot.

Had a very enjoyable stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The view is beautiful and the pool is crystal clear. There are bbq grills on site u can use also. Alex is a great guy and will help make your stay as enjoyable as possible. First class service. See u again soon.

Stayed with spouse and 4-month-old in the honeymoon suite for Mother's Day. While not advertised as such, you can see the ocean from the breakfast nook. There are definitely better ocean views from the oceanfront rooms. They have an observation deck with tables, chairs, and loungers from which you can beach watch in fair weather. Staff was very helpful and personable. No elevator and not the most accessibility friendly. If you need special accommodation, then I would definitely call the front desk before booking to make sure they can accommodate your needs.

This is a lovely hotel, everything about it is cute and clean. Only two complaints are that the beds are incredibly hard and made my back hurt immediately and the pool doesn’t seem to be heated.

They are very friendly and the room is very clean. Ocean view you cannot beat it!!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. The location was awesome, the price was right, the rooms were fairly spacious (type D on the website), the staff was excellent, the rooms were clean, etc. we would recommend this to those looking to enjoy Wildwood beach in a heart beat. One thing that could be improved, is that the rooms could use a some updates. Other than that, very happy we picked this hotel.
