Comfort Suites Northside Hospital Gwinnett - Hotel in Lawrenceville - 2225 Riverside Pkwy, USA

Very noisy renovations. Very poorly managed. There was know warning that the rooms above was being renovated. Awakened early morning. They said they will continue until the evening. Manager refused to give refund for inconvenience. Instead asked me would I like to leave. I’m not from here don’t know where to go.

I am a diamond elite member, have used Choice for 20 years. Last month I tried to book a room using my points at this hotel. I put in the remarks that it was for my son. He would be checking in. I gave his name. I always call when we give a room to our son or daughter to make sure they read the remarks about who would be checking in. This hotel refused to let them check in. They said I would have to be there to check them in? I wasn't going to drive 3 hours to do this?? It was late at night so there was nothing we could do. My son and his family kept driving. I did notify Choice Hotels, they called and assured me they would let the manager know this was not the policy. (ok--it has happened again at another comfort close to this area--waiting on response from executive office on that one)

I am a Diamond Member. I booked one night with my points for my sons family. I put in the comments on the reservation that my son's family would be the ones checking in. I was told that I have to be the one there, they can't let anyone else ck in with points but the member. that they hadn't since the pandemic. I called Members phone Number and the lady there called them, Didn't help. reservation was cancelled and we have to wait on points to be reinstated!!! needless to say, they had to drive an addition couple of hours to get to our house at 10:00 at night instead of cking in there. This is a hotel located at a medical center!! what if you were being nice and booking a family member there to see someone or to get medical care? guess Comfort Suites would say sorry..

Positive: The hotel apparently had a sprinkler malfunction and was under significant repairs and renovations. It may be a good hotel when it is finished. There was no business center, gym, or ice machine available.The lobby was completely out of use. Negative: See above description. Construction was everywhere, but the hotel room. Drywall dust was in the hall, plastic sheeting was up. No amenities were available, not even ice. Negative: ""

I couldn't give superlatives due to the remodeling and renovation efforts but the Staff was very friendly and helpful. The area was very safe and quiet and the rooms are what you come to expect from Comfort Suites.

Positive: Breakfast Negative: A hotel concierge made an unauthorized charge on my card. However, I notified corporate and she grant me a stay at another hotel for my troubles, so I'm good..

Room has no ac or heating very musty and too hot to sleep. Both AC outlets by bed do not work. Chose this because of location by hospital. What a mistake! I was in a very great hurry but should have read the reviews! Avoid this place! I didn’t stay the night it was so bad!

BEWARE! This Hotel is under renovation but the website does not tell you that. Stayed here December 26, 2023. The pictures on the web must be before the renovation and it still claims free hot breakfast, but that’s not true. All they had was a small room with a “grab and go” breakfast that was very sparse- no milk, no fruit, no waffles only breakfast bars and a juice machine that was out of order. I complained to the front desk and was told the manager would call, but never heard from him/her. Overall, the room was as expected- clean and comfortable, and no disturbance from renovation but I’m giving it a 1 due to the fact that they lied about the property on the website.
