Comfort Suites McKinney-Allen - Hotel in McKinney - 1590 N Central Expy, USA

We exclusively use choice hotels when we travel. We have had some issues in other locations but that can be expected in any chain business. Tonight me and my family are staying at the Mckinney, TX location on a family vacation. I cannot say enough about what a pleasant experience we are having! From the moment we walked in Jeanette, at the front desk, has gone above and beyond to make us comfortable. She is the icon of southern hospitality and kindness! Our room is clean and the beds are comfy. We have enjoyed the pool very much! The area is pleasant with so much to do and such a variety of places to eat and shop. Tonight as we were getting some snacks in the lobby before bed we had the opportunity to meet the general manager. Again, I am so impressed. He went over the top to make sure we were comfortable and all our needs were being met. You do not get this kind of service and kindness everywhere. You will be well taken care of if you choose this hotel in McKinney, TX!

Giving a review would be a waste of time. I will be writing corporate office about my stay on 07/20. It’s not clean and there are “residents” and roaches. The showers are so dirty that I could write my name on them using a towel. Only the hotel manager will see this review… but corporate office will hear directly from me. Beware… you heard it here first!!

We have continued to stay at certain comfort suites over the years but this one will not be one of them. Our first room had black mold in the closet and outdated microwave and refrigerator. I brought the mold to the attention to the manager and his suggestion was to spray bleach on it and let us stay.after I said no we were given another room. This room wasn’t the cleanest. Found a piece of pizza on the floor. A/C filters looked like they haven’t been cleaned in a while. Swimming pool needed skimming. You can tell they have tried updating it but more at a lick and a promise.

there was bugs EVERYWHERE. We woke up and there was bugs on the desk. we killed them and left to go to my daughters soccer tournament and when we came back, there was more. There was another bug the next morning and it was a full grown roach. the cleaning lady came in and brought all of her kids inside our room and just wiped it down and didn’t really help with anything. hated it here. also it smelled like smoke. i would never recommend this.

Would give zero stars if they had that option. This is by far the WORST comfort suites I’ve ever stayed in. Smashed roach on the wall, blood stain on wall, mold on ceiling, door didn’t close or lock well, shower head full of mold, and holes in wall in 2 places. I will never recommend this place, nor will I ever stay there again. The hallways smell so bad. I was absolutely disgusted with this stay.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was quiet and my bed was comfortable so I slept well. The bathroom, however, was not so great... first was what I can only hope was blood splatter on the ceiling (I mean, come on - slap some paint over it at least!) But worse, was getting into the shower and seeing the faucet - it was NASTY corroded and unusable for me. The bathroom is why I've given 3 stars.

I’ve stayed at this location multiple times now. I’ve had small issues here and there but my experience last night topped this horrible opinion of this place. I’m a trucker and last night was an all nighter for me. I called earlier yesterday to inform the hotel that I would be needing a late check in (around 3 am) as I was coming from out of town. I told them I definitely was gonna be here and to NOT CANCEL MY RESERVATION. They said it was fine over the phone. Had some delays in my travels so I got here at 5 am. As I got to the hotel, the man on duty says that they had marked my reservation as a “no show” even though I even called them to assure them I was going to show up. I asked for a LATE CHECK OUT (cuz I’m legally required to do a 10 hour DOT break). Then he informs me that “no shows” are automatically checked out at 7am and they were already extending my checkout to 11am and that they couldn’t extend my checkout any longer even though I am a Gold Member with their Choice Privilege (you can request an additional 2 hour late checkout). All it takes is a little compassion to understand my situation. I understand that these things are to the “Hotel’s discretion” but I feel like with me explaining my situation, they could’ve been a little more lenient. Now here I am checked out of my room trying to figure out what to do for the next 4 hours (before I can legally drive). Definitely not the best experience I’ve had.

I cannot express how disappointed and disgusted I was with my recent stay at this hotel. From the moment I stepped into the bathroom, it was evident that cleanliness and maintenance were not priorities. **Dirty Bathroom and Toilet** The bathroom was in an appalling state. The bathtub was grimy, and the toilet was so filthy that I felt uncomfortable using it. It was clear that it hadn't been properly cleaned in ages. The bathroom door wouldn't even close properly, leaving no privacy whatsoever. **Shoddy Renovations** The renovations in the room were shoddily done and looked cheap and unfinished. The carpet was stained and had not been vacuumed, leaving a layer of dirt and grime underfoot. **Lack of Basic Amenities** To make matters worse, there was no soap provided in the bathroom, forcing me to use the small bar of hand soap I had brought with me. This lack of basic amenities is simply unacceptable for any establishment claiming to be a hotel. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. The unsanitary conditions and lack of attention to detail were truly revolting. I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and maintenance, but this hotel failed to meet even the most basic expectations. Save your money and stay elsewhere.
