Comfort Suites Beachside - Hotel in South Padre Island - 912 Padre Blvd, USA

Went there for a wedding. The rooms don’t look like they do online. The furniture was old and scratched up the pillows sucked lumpy and lost form. The bed was comfy the carpet was stained. It appeared ok clean. Way over priced for poor accommodations. The free breakfast was good 👍. I think a tent on the beach would be better. Never going back and don’t recommend it.

We stayed in the suite. Very nice to have separate room for the grandparents. Hot breakfast, pool (with pool towels and restrooms nearby), comfortable beds, coffee available - even when requested late night. Friendly staff... from the reservation (following online search) made by phone to front desk in August, to late Friday check-in, throughout the weekend (including breakfast area & housekeeping staff), and through to the easy check-out; EVERY person, including the manager Adrianna, took care of all our needs and greeted us with a smile. Felt like a family! Check out the second floor balcony area! Extra seating, tables & comfortable chairs, library shelves of books. Room for the family to play board games. It was a wonderful weekend!

Positive: Very close to the beach, still required a bit of walking down the loong board walk but overall it was convenient not to drive anywhere. Negative: Pool not available. Zero balcony rooms available. ZERO beachfront view (your behind two other hotels/condos that are closer to the water than you.) Rude front desk staff. Cleaning crew and kitchen crew were more helpful than front desk.

We stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it! The hotel is older and needs some cosmetic updates. But it is clean and the rooms are spacious. The staff were all nice and helpful. The breakfast was good and had lots of choices. We especially loved the easy walk to the beach! We would highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again in the future!

If you need a quality hotel that won't break the bank, highly recommend this hotel. It the necessary amenities, and the outdoor pool is modest and nice to unwind at. The bedrooms are great for their prices with what you need. Clean beds, clean restroom/shower, etc. I will say the pillows are a bit small in size, but it doesn't affect overall experience so you'll be okay. The breakfast area is small, but for the budget prices, it's nothing to be too worried about. While located behind some other establishments, it's still a great hotel for budget prices. If you need a place that won't break the bank but want to be comfortable in, highly recommend

I brought my husband out for some relaxation. Check in was easy and the staff was nice. It took me a couple of tries to get the door to put room open but then I figured out that I just had to wait a few seconds before removing the key. No big deal. The room was already cold for us (which is a blessing since it's triple digits down here) and I was so happy with the amount of pillows there were on the beds! The beds were comfortable and the blankets were very cozy. Overall I think my husband and I had a great night!

Upon check-in, the disastrous vacation started. Website stated heated pool and spa. I have kids, as do many travelers. This is a must, especially during this timeframe. Nope, pool out of order, spa out of order. Front desk staff you ask? Very unprofessional, uneducated with local attractions or really any info guests requested. Just getting started, paid for a 6 person room, actually booked it and only 3 towels present, needed extra pillows, toilet does not work, etc. To be fair, it’s an average 2 star hotel. My disappointment comes with the price, service, and false advertising amenities.

The hotel is in a great location. Getting the parking lot is tricky but once you find it, it’s fine. Service was terrific from the front desk, the breakfast attendant and the cleaning personnel. The hotel needs some updating and repairs but it’s not bad. The size and layout of the room was good and worked for our family. Beds were okay. The one big issue I had was the mold/mildew smell of the room was overwhelming. That has to get fixed which in that environment may be hard.
