I had a wedding this past weekend and we had over 40 rooms blocked off. Of course the hotel is dated but the manager, Veronica, and her team went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. From letting all the guests have early check in, to putting out extra chairs and tables out side by the pool area for our guests to hang out, handing out all the gift bags, and made a sign with our shuttle schedule. They also made certain our rooms were clean for our guests. I would stay there again.
If I could give a -10, I would. This hotel was very dated and smelled so bad. It has not been updated since it was built. Nothing good to say about it other than a big refrigerator that was very cold. It was hot, the air conditioning was terrible. It smelled very musty. And the furniture in the room was worn and tattered.
I gave a one star this time as I was very disappointed with my service. I was on a semi spur of the moment trip over that way and had stayed in the Chelsea area about 10 years ago. We got there and asked for a room. They had 1-2 rooms left but wanted to charge $310 plus tax and service fees) for a room for one night due to the high volume of people staying at the hotel as U of M University's graduation was Saturday. Well I am sorry, but I do not believe when you are a hotel and can just change your prices due to the amount of people that are coming in for a graduation. When online it showed $188. Granted I did not have a reservation, but that should not matter. I was on a whim and thought it would be fun to have a spontaneous trip with my husband and stay in the area we had 10 years ago. So would I recommend them, Maybe on a day, weekend they do not have big events or make sure that if you know your going to stay there book several months in advance.
Do not stay here! Outdated, dirty, musty and crusty is what comes to mind immediately. If this place is a franchise, I can’t believe it’s still allowed to operated in this condition. A simple audit by Choice Hotels Corporate would have this place red tagged and locked up immediately. It’s a blast into the late 90’s early 2000’s. Old is fine but when it’s dirty and neglected for years, it becomes a problem. Bugs. I saw mosquitos in the hallway, a carpet beetle in my room, large ants downstairs, regular ants on the window sills of the room and possibly pincers in one of the beds. This place needs to figure that out. The best part of the stay was checking out. Do not stay here, it’s a health and safety concern. Negligence of the owners or managers is truly showing here and they don’t deserve to profit off of anyone for providing such a abominable stay.
The rooms outdated the vending machine took my money and plugs didn’t work . No laundry another issue is that the man who works the front desk smells of body odor! You work a job having to interact with people you cannot smell like that . I was supposed to stay 10days left after 2 only good thing that works is jacuzzi

I did not want to leave this review, as I personally work in hospitality as a property GM as well. I stayed at the CI in Chelsea this past weekend. The 2 neighboring rooms were booked by the same group, directly over the lobby on the second floor. At 11pm they began to argue and fight and were slamming doors. This went on for 2 1/2 hours until we decided to call the desk. My wife and daughter were nervous thinking we were in danger. The screaming and banging were very obvious. When I called the desk she said "I know, I will talk to them". Someone did talk to them and for about 1/2 hour it was quiet. At 1am it started back up. Doors slamming, shouting, dog barking. At 2:30 I went down to the desk. She said "I don't know what to do". I told her she needed to get ahold of someone to take care of it, or call the police. At this point, she then said, I can move you! I told her they should be moved or removed. All the while not once did she let us know she was sorry for any inconvenience. At 3:30 I called down again and no one answered. Finally at 4am, 5 hours past the posted quiet time, they were asked to leave the property. In the morning I went to check with the desk that they were gone. This time, a different desk staff, said yes. Again, no "sorry for the inconvenience. The second night was fine. I was handed a card for the GM, I sent an email and have not heard anything back from her. I feel the staff was not properly trained and should have handled this differently. I will say it was the worst stay we've had and we travel 20+ weekends a year for sports. I would not recommend staying here. Outside of the issues we had, they were out of pool towels and not sold out, and the room smelled like apple cider vinegar. I don't like leaving negative reviews, however, the lack of empathy and no response from the GM put me to it. There are many other places to stay. I like staying at Comfort Inn properties... just not this one again.
Absolutely horrible customer service! When I went to check in, I sat at the front desk for over 5 minutes. I could hear the person in the back room. Finally, I coughed really loud to get him to come out. Later, one of the keys wasn't working, so I went to get them re- configured, and I sat there for over 5 minutes & finally gave up. Came back later when someone had to call him forward & I had him do it then. We had to stay here for a hockey tournament (stay to play) & at 11 pm it was quiet time ... evidently, that means everyone had to leave the dining area and the lobby (the lobby I get) and go to their rooms. The dining area was an area that could be closed off but the same person that was never around, showed up right at 11 & kicked about 15 of us out and made us go to our rooms. Very sad! The entire situation was embarrassing. No warning (& we weren't even that loud), just made us go to our rooms like we're kids again.
DTE trails are always fun, everything from the warm-up green Loop to the extreme fun Sugar Loop, there's enough climbing and downhill to satisfy every style of single track riding.
This place is amazing, for adults and children. Lots to do and VERY handicapped accessible!! They offer a track chair for trails if you call ahead. For free! Beautiful area. Lots of diverse plant and wildlife.
First time visitors to the smoke house! Location was easily accessible and located Downtown Chelsea. we were greeted as soon as we walked in the building and immediately sat to a table. Service was excellent and you felt the hospitality:) food was s

We had a lovely time lighting Christmas tree and seeing Santa. They did a good job with all decorations and playing all the good songs.and sing with everyone. It was a nice park, although the only time I was there it was dark and crowded.

We visited for the first time for dinner on a Saturday night. There was no wait and we were seated immediately in a beautifully decorated and private booth. The waiter came immediately with chips and salsa and took our drink orders. We ordered a side
