Comfort Inn West - Hotel in Duluth - 3900 W Superior St, USA

We travel a lot and have stayed in so many comfort suites, this one is by far the best we have ever visited. It is so nice, from the bird houses outside, just everything was clean, nice, welcoming. Very kid friendly, hands down, excellent. There was enough shampoo for the whole family, not just little dinky shampoo bottles.

Would have loved to give a five star rating. However, the sauna is one of the main features that's important when we travel. I should have wrote a review the last time we stayed here several years ago, at that time half of the sauna stove didn't work. Disappointingly, that half still doesn't work 3 years later. The temperature is limited to a balmy 120°, which is at least 30° too cold for a sauna. Overall, the hotel is nice, the breakfast was tasty, the breakfast service was outstanding, and our room was nice. I really hope they fix the sauna stove, we may stay there again if they do. This was a great stay-clean rooms, decent bed and a great TV with app abilities, something you don't see normally. The breakfast had plenty of options from cereal to waffles. Parking was safe and the area was not to bad a bit industrial but I believe this is all of Duluth. While the view is definitely lacking as my view was a bush and the road the proximity to parks and attractions if great. The give discounts on Zoo, Aquarium, Adventure Zone, Gleen Mansion and a Texas roadhouse Discount which we definitely did it saved is a bunch. I would say my whole stay here was great except one thing that happened on the last night... Sports teams with teenagers. This night was not good running in the halls, kids knocking on doors, heavy footsteps and jumping, door slams and there is alot of traffic noise. When I brought my concern to the front desk she let me know that everyone was complaining but that she let the Chaperones know that they need to correct it. Nothing was even mentioned of how to make it right, even a acknowledgement of inconvenience after such a great last few days. My only recommendation is call first and ask if they will be overloaded with sports teams when you go because the hotel did not seem big enough to accommodate. I would definitely go back but I WOULD make that call first and stay somewhere else if that was the case.

Stayed here for a wedding. Honestly it was nicer than most Comfort Inn's my family have stayed at. Staff were attentive and very welcoming when we came in. Parking lot was well lit and felt safe at night. Breakfast options were pretty decent. Would come back to stay again

Very clean and well maintained! Welcoming beyond imagination from the front desk to the personalized welcome on our room TV! Shelly at the hotel bar is a real sweetheart. They even had an ice cream social today with a free scoop of top quality ice cream for the hotel guests! Having traveled the country with hundreds of stays over the past 15 years; this one WOW'd me! THIS HOTEL IS A REAL GEM in the Choice hotel crown!

First the good rooms were clean beds for me and the wife were comfortable. The breakfast ladies were amazing they remembered us and why we were in Duluth to see the Harbor Monsters if I could rate them I would give them 100 stars. Now unfortunately the bad made reservations received 7 text messages telling me about check in online which I didn't want to do but there was no way stop it also got 3 phone calls confirming the room. The last one particularly upset me while enjoying a late dinner they called wanting me to give them a time when we would arrive at 63 years old felt like my mom was asking me when I was coming home

We have stayed in choice hotels for decades. This one is at the top for cleanliness, pleasant, helpful staff. It has an amazing breakfast, hot beverages available 24/7. The pool is large and comfortable water temperature. Definitely a 5 star!

Had a motor Coach group of 37 stay at the Comfort Inn West. Stephanie and staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was good . Had not one complaint. Hotel was very clean, beds comfortable and very quiet at night. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
