Overall the hotel was very nice and clean. The breakfast was good except that there wasn't any cream cheese for bagels and the sausages were a bit overcooked and tough. The waffles were great!!! There were a couple of cosmetic things with our room like a broken mirror on the closet door, only 1 cup for coffee in the room and a used bottle of shampoo was left in the shower and the tub was very slippery. The tub should have some anti slip strips or something equivalent to prevent someone from falling. I would recommend it to others as most of the things are very fixable and would not stop me from using your hotel in the future.
My mom booked this hotel for us to visit my sister for one night. Upon walking in we had an overwhelming stench of mildew. I was concerned. We checked in, and didn't notice the smell down the hallways. We got in the room and I noticed it had just been clean and we smelled a strong cleaner smell (good) and wr had a lot of plans so we left. We came back 4 or 5 hours later and smelled a strong musty mold smell like in the lobby. Looked up and noticed mold all along the ceiling and near the window, a weird bubbling on the walls and a weird red stain on the walls, the comforter was also gross and stained. We waited and then finally couldn't stand it and went to the desk. The guy I spoke with told me that "they all look like that due to a recent fire and water and rain, but you're welcome to check another room but they will be the same" the next room smelled like strong Marijuana. And I told him that. He gave me the key to check another and that was a little better, not the best, but better. All the bathrooms have mold, the water pressure is horrendous and just the general smell is bad overall. When checking out Jacqueline I think is her name is so sweet. She was just so nice and went out of her way to talk to us, she is a real gem. But this hotel needs a major over hall. I'm told it's being worked on but they should close until that's all done!!
The people running the hotel are very nice. We will definitely use this place again. It's an older property, but the awesome service more than makes up for it, in my opinion.
This was with out a doubt the worst Comfort Inn I have stayed in. As a Diamond Member of Choice Hotels, I have Generally found the Comfort Inn line to be a cleaner and nice middle of the road hotel. This location was not the case. I attempted to stay the night June 16th, 2024. Upon arrival i noticed a large hole from fire damage on the rear of the building. At Entry there was no smell or indication of an issue, but once i entered my room 105 i immediately noticed a smoke and mildew smell. I proceeded to check for cleanliness and found a clean to the eye but bathroom but upon running my hands along to porcelain sink i felt what seemed to be tooth paste residue from an unwiped surface. This lead me to check around the hotel room, upon pulling back the sheets and bedding I found a small bug between the box spring and mattress. I immediately left for the front desk, and was offered a new room, uncomfortable with staying in an unclean hotel, I made the decision to leave. The Front Desk Rep claimed he could do nothing for my refund, and the manager would have to call me in the morning. No Call for Several Days lead to call direct to Choice Hotels. Choice Hotels Informed me I would be hearing from the manager, still no call 7-10-2024. Here we are, almost a month later my Credit card bill is due, and I am stuck paying for a hotel i did not stay in due to cleanliness. The bill will be paid, but I would suggest any other option before booking here.
Young man on desk remember me from a prior visit.nice touch.British lady(I think) on the desk and breakfast was very nice. This is a typical Comfort Inn always clean etc but the staff are an asset
Do not stay in this run down falling apart hotel. We stayed for two nights and did not have hot water in the shower either night. When we asked the front desk we were told we would receive a refund. Later after we left they charged our card again rescinding the refund because there was still hot water in the sink just not the shower. The heat was either all the way on or all the way off, this is a run down roach motel worth 30 dollars a night at best.
Stayed here for work for 6 months straight. New Owners took over and it remained the same quiet good nights sleep. No complaints from me except the breakfast sawsage. Actual links are way better than the processed ones. 🤣😆Great place to stay.
Stayed the weekend of April 5th - April 7th to visit my son attending college a bit south of Charlotte, MI. Booked through Priceline and the customer rating was generally positive. The hotel us also under new(ish) management according to reviews I've read here on Google. While the hotel is getting renovated, there were some issues. The negatives: Water pressure in the sink was terrible. The shower was decent. The tub for the shower is slippery. There's no texture to the tub which could prove dangerous for people with balance issues when their feet are wet. Hot water was nearly non-existent. I let the sink run for over 5 minutes and no hot water, and the sink drained very very slowly. (The morning morning receptionist/breakfast server came up and snaked the drain.) Hot water in the shower was also nearly non-existent. In order to get hot water in the sink, I had to turn the water on in the tub. Same for getting hot water in the shower, had to turn on the water in the sink. However, the shower was barely warm enough to be comfortable as there was little to no heat when showering. The positives: The locations is about 3/4 of a mile from the interstate. There is a Walmart, an Applebee's and other shopping and gas stations close by as well. (Michigan and those no left turns, though...LOL.) The bed was decently comfortable and the linens were clean in my room. The weekend morning receptionist was an absolute gem. Super pleasant and friendly. She has a cool backstory as well. Very much enjoyed speaking with her. Overall, my stay wasn't terrible but please address the slippery tubs, the water pressure and hot water in the rooms. I know I'm not the only guest who has brought this up as many of the reviews stated as such. The potential for this Comfort Inn to be so much better is there but things have to be addressed.
Love this crew!! They cook extraordinarily and delicious meals!! Love their crab Rangoon and shrimp toast! Also give their general tsos a try! I believe the best in the state!!
Another amazing experience at Culver's. It seems that Culver's might actually take care of their teams. Sure, there may be one-offs here and there but employees actually care. I can only hope that it means it's a decent place to work. Even when the
It was good, but don't "dress up" as you'll feel out of place. This is a "locals place"....jeans seem to expected. Good selection of beer on tap. Service was excellent. Food....ahhhh....well, for both of our plates the fries arrived cold. The cod was
We're not in this area very often, but when we are, we make it a point to stop here. The staff are all so incredibly nice and helpful. There was one instance when my drink wasn't made correctly. When I talked to the manager, they were extremely apolo
