Comfort Inn Plover-Stevens Point - Featured Reviews (328)
I will say this was an easy place to get to, and there was plenty of parking. The service we experienced was the front desk and each person was very nice. Getting to the room... that was... bad. Really bad. I mean. Not good. The desk chair was (no joke) disintegrating (see the pictures). I really needed to use that chair and when I saw it, there was no way I was touching that nastiness. There appeared to be a white mold on the bed cover. Soooo... yeah, threw that on the floor. By the refrigerator, within the dresser stand, was damaged and appeared to be falling apart. The plug-ins on the nightstand lamp were so loose that one of the plugs on my chargers, fell out multiple times. The black mold on the side of the toilet was also super impressive (see picture). This place has great potential but at the moment they're not putting much, if any effort into it. Too bad. I would NOT recommend staying here. I hope this helps. Cheers.
The hotel was comfortable, clean and quiet. Our interactions with the front desk were positive and we felt they went out of their way to accommodate a couple of special requests. The breakfasts were well presented. They were well presented and consistent across our days of stay.
Very clean. Friendly front desk staff. Having a pub there was great for our team to get together. Friendly staff. Great location. Easy on easy off the freeway. Nice to have many restaurants and stores nearby. The pool and hot tub was a nice addition. Our athletes were in heaven!
We stayed for 2 nights on 3rd floor at end of May. We got to our room and settled in. We then heard a refrigerator truck outside our room cycling on and off making loud noises. I went down to the front desk and told her about the loud noise from the truck. I asked for her to have the driver move the truck. She couldn't because they don't keep License plate numbers. She didn't know who was driving the truck. What kind of policy is that? All Hotels take down plate numbers. Then if something happens they know who owns which vehicle. She offered to change our rooms. My husband has a very bad knee and can't do a lot of walking, which is why we stay at hotels with elevators and luggage carts. We moved across the hall with me carrying all our luggage and cooler. Hot tub was not that hot on the 1st night. 2nd night was hotter, they must have turned it up. They had same breakfast both mornings - boring. They should have something different 2 days in the row. The morning we checked out the elevator was broke down. They didn't notify us or offer any help to me or my husband with a very bad knee to bring all our luggage down 2 flights of stairs. You can't have 3 floors and not have a working elevator. What did they do, skimp on maintenance? We won't be staying here ever again.
Positive: Breakfast is nice. Waffle maker is awesome. Need better seating for families of more than 4. Negative: I wish the hotel would have sent an email with directions on how to get to the hotel during construction. I was lost trying to find a way coming from the east. It was totally blocked off for construction. Mold in the bathtub, low water pressure.
I stayed at this property on Thursday evening of the 2024 Iola Car Show. You would expect the rates to be higher during this event. They were and at $299 per night I hoped it would be somewhat worth the price. I understand supply and demand economics. The room was clean, but in need of repair. The air-conditioning fan was very noisy the entire stay and eliminated the possibility of a good night's sleep. The furniture reminded of a dorm room...in need of replacement. I realize this is a budget property, but please give me sufficient shampoo to wash my 73-year-old hair! Breakfast was what you would expect. Edible, but not noteworthy. In reality, it was just a place to stay and take an expensive shower. I'm a Capitalist, but this was just a case of taking advantage of the situation.
I stayed here for a few days while traveling for work and was on the top floor away from the elevator. Room contained the following: black on feet from carpet, popcorn on floor upon arrival, cup rings on table surfaces upon arrival, questionably clean sheets, sheets were wrinkly, they just looked used and also had two long black hairs found in sheets, certain the bed was just made but sheets weren't changed. There was a moldy sour odorous shower curtain, broken toilet seat - the seat would move while doing your business- careful or you'd slip off, stocked well with mini soaps, clean standing shower and toilet, large crispy towels, well stocked utensils and paper plates, there is also a mini market by the front desk. The rooms have several lamps and is well lit. Several TV channels, nice large samsung TV. The refrigerator worked well and also contains a small freezer section. I had a late arrival upon check-in, front desk employee seemed to have an attitude, but from my experience in working in the area this is a common feature of employees within customer service. Walls are thin, could hear people in conjoining room next door, but likely just rude, disrespectful, loud human beings, and not the hotel's fault. Also was on the highway side of the hotel and couldn't hear the interstate traffic which was surprising. Other reviews regarding the construction: you are an adult, it is not the hotel’s responsibility to inform you about construction in the area, this is Wisconsin, construction is everywhere. Also the construction is not confusing nor does it cause difficult in navigation, really a petty thing to even complain about. The white comforter had several brown and yellow stains, the mattress contained a thin topper, bed was not very comfortable but I have slept on worse. Clean lobby, pool deck, gym, and bar area. Guest laundry room was a disaster, very filthy with overflown trash, washer and fryer poor condition and dirty. Back entry steps extremely filthy and several wrappers with foul sour odor. Overall, not horrible, not the best, but probably would stay again if absolutely needed, but would probably consider the extra few minutes to stay at a place in Stevens Point, but this place is good for a quick night while passing through. There are nice walking paths and hiking in the area, a few good restaurants too. Must stop and see the world’s larger potato masher.
The hotel was great, great service, but I thought we were getting a 100% smoke free property. I barely walked through the front door and walked through a bad cigarette smoke cloud which caused me to have a severe migraine. This lasted about 48 hours ans we had to cut out trip short.

Delicious, fresh cuisine in generous portions served by friendly staff in a welcoming atmosphere. Always wonderful. My lunch portion steak fajitas were so generous I got two full meals out of them! We also can't get enough of their unique fresh salsa
I tried several gyms in the area before finding my home at Anytime Fitness (AF). My favorite part is the turf. Itâs the perfect place to stretch or train. AF has any kind of workout equipment you could need. There are plenty of machines, Iâve ne
