Definitely a 2-star hotel…older, out-dated and worn out. Housekeeping and front desk service were great though! Roger was extremely friendly and accommodating! Right next door to Cabela’s, a steak house and a gas station. Water started pouring through our bathroom ceiling at 3am…staff were gracious enough to offer to move us immediately. Pool was….well it was functional. The entire softball team enjoyed it and nobody ended up getting sick or having any weird rashes so I’d call it a win! If you’re looking for fine and fancy, this is not the place. If you just need a place to crash for the night, this would do the trick :)

While this location is an older building, we found it to be very clean and the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The room location was very quiet and the hotel was full. There were hot and cold options for breakfast. I gave 4 stars due to the age of the building. We would stay here again.

My boyfriend is a trucker for a company in Owatonna. Anytime we are in town for a night or more the company gets us a room here. I never have any complaints. The customer service has always been top notch. The rooms are huge, clean and quiet. There are plenty of places to eat close by. I recommend Famous Dave's. Plus you can always door dash food also.

Positive: Location, had a pool and hot tub. Breakfast was good. Sausage was over salted, to the point of gagging, had to throw it away and I love sausage. Negative: Hot tub didn't work. toilet drained every 5 min, I requested to have it fixed. it was not, it continued for 3 days, same as the sink stop being plugged. They skipped all services the first day and only changed towels the last 2 days, after I asked.

Wifi is unreliable. I work remotely and was disconnected from meetings all day due to Internet resets. It affects their check in process, too. Tiles in bathroom are loose and move under your feet. Toilet requires 2-3 tries for a complete flush of the bowl. Sink has very slow drain. Elevator door really struggles to open and elevator smells bad, I think due to lack of ventilation and bad carpet. However, the bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the floorplan of the king suite.

If I could leave negative stars I would. When we first arrived the guy at the desk was bragging that this hotel was still open and the one we thought we had booked (old holiday inn) closed for various reasons. Besides the initial greeting, every other experience with the staff was horrible. They were extremely rude and have absolutely no concept of customer service. There is not ice on any of the levels - you have to go up to the desk for them to fill it for you - assuming you can find someone at the front desk, our hotel did not have a working phone (video attached), our room did not have a smoke detector (proof attached)(both of the above mentioned issues are severe safety issues), when we asked why our room hadn’t been cleaned in four days we told by an extremely rude woman with short shoulder-ish length red/strawberry blonde hair that we had to request that and that “there should be a sign on your mirror -read” - there was no sign in the room at all (video proof attached), their tv barely worked, their Netflix and showtime “perk” did not work at all….i literally could go on. By far one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at, from the terrible employees to the ghetto room, it was just horrendous. SPEND YOUR MONEY LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE. This hotel, the manager and the employees do not care about you or the quality of your stay. Will be reporting to the BBB. **update: google is not letting upload the video proof. We use Choice Hotels across the Country for business travel. The General Manager Jay at this location displayed some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. He mandated polices that no other Choice Hotels have ever required and only for some of our employees. He used vulgar language to explain that he didn't care. He cost extra time and much additional stress. There are much better hotels in Owatonna that will care about providing you great service.

Great place to stay, all the services are top notch. Free breakfast and rooms are spacious. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
