Comfort Inn Norwalk - Sandusky - Hotel in Norwalk - 415 Milan Ave, USA

Horrible. At 1245 a.m was quoted 537 for a 4-bed room. Checked online before paying and the same room was 228. Bought it to the clerks attention. She says I’ll have to book it online for that rate. I did then she proceeds to tell me she could only give me that rate if I was checking in at 3 that afternoon. Was leaving well before 3 so she canceled it for me and ended up rebooking for a total of 507 and change after taxes and fees. I called customer care yesterday and he clearly told me they were wrong to not honor the online rate. I was advised to call the hotel manager today which I did and he flat out refused to refund part of my money AND hung up on me. Poor service all the way around. I’ll be recontacting customer service because they need to be stopped.

If I could pick negative stars I would. Do not stay here. Cosmo at the front desk was horrible, rude, incompetent and the worst customer service person I have encountered in a long long time. When checking in with a reservation, he ignored the fact that I already paid for everything and proceeded to charge me again for the room and pet deposit. After showing him my confirmation email he partially refunded what he charged. We went to the room it smelled horrible and was filthy. The hallway was filthy, the pool area was dirty and the hot tub did not work even though we were told it was working perfectly. After working a 70 hour week we simply wanted to relax and soak in a hot tub, not deal with all of this. He refused a refund even though we checked out and called the reservation line, having them speak to the property about our issues.

Definitely overpriced. Not worth even half the price. Room was dirty, hair in tub and on toilet. Fecal remains on toilet. Hole and stain in sheets . AC covet hanging off the wall. Walls badly damaged. Breakfast was good and shower water was hot is the only reason I give it 1 star

When I first got there, it seemed really good. It took a really long time to check in, and I needed to check out late. While the young lady was very nice she didn't know what to do, she might have been new to the job. She said she would check with the manager. She brought him to us, and that part turned out well. The manager, while he was nice he looked terrible. He was wearing an athletic short set that was dirty with flip flops. The first thing I wondered was if my room was sanitary even though it looked cleaned. And the TV in my room kept going off and on. I called the front desk, and the manager said it would be all right once it warmed uo. It didn't.

The stuff person in the morning at the counter didn’t let me to get coffee, until I say my room number. Just before I put my room key to the counter, and unfortunately I forgot the number of my room that’s why I couldn’t told him the number of my room, so what’s happened next it was funny- I got my coffee and he running and chasing me from hotel to my car. So please people, when you will be here - don’t forget your room number or you get troubles. Haha. That’s never happened with me before, what an unusual experience.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! Save your money!! Me and my boyfriend stayed here a couple times the first time was fine but this last time we had stains on our sheets witched looked like dried blood and what looked like boogers on our pillow. There were ants all over the place. Our jacuzzi tub in our room kept leaking it was filled with water when we got there and it was very dirty with some kind of bugs in it. We didn’t feel like it was very sanitary to sleep there so we tried to get a refund on it we were only there for about an hour and he wanted to give us less then half of what we paid. When we tried to negotiate with him he kept just walking away and being very rude and raising his voice at us. We tried for about 45 min to get him to come and talk to us and he just went back into his office and would not come out. Very poor customer service he was very rude!!

This is worse than a Motel 6 for double the price. Do not bring children here. The building is not secure and every surface of this hotel is contaminated by mold and/or legionella. Service is terrible. Every fixture, piece of furniture, and surface is chipped/broken/dirty or dilapidated. I would not, under any circumstance, eat any food prepared here, use the pool or hot tub, or ride in the elevator. This building should be condemned.

7-3-2024, Booked with my points. For a Choice hotel I felt like I was at the Econolodge. I travel quite a bit. The rear and sides access doors do not work so anyone can walk into the hotel. The extra items this hotel wants to charge seem this owner nickels and dimes. For a 2queen size bed room we only got two and felt like we were bothering the night staff person who gave attitude. For I was checking in late with my family and I had to use the phone to call him from the back room to the front desk to check in. The day staff person was polite and helpful. I waited to post this because I was concerned that the manager/owner would charge extra on my card. The main floor seemed musty. Our room was clean but I had to use the door stop I brought just incase someone walked in from the unsecured doors. If we goto Cedar Point again we may just drive to Port Clinton or Fredonia. For the price is too much to stay here and I would have kept my points.
