Comfort Inn Naugatuck-Shelton, CT - Hotel in Naugatuck - 716 New Haven Rd, USA

My stay at Comfort Inn Naugatuck was overall a positive and satisfying experience. I found the rooms to be impeccably clean with light and bright natural decor which was a nice change from other hotel experiences where the decor was always dark and depressing. The comfort inn is bright, and my room filled with natural light if I choose so it always felt positive and homelike. The rooms are very large, and housekeeping is helpful and timely in offering assistance each morning. A satisfying breakfast is available each morning that offered a variety of options to start my day right. The staff were exceptional, with Christine standing out as particularly personable and helpful. She was always available to assist with any questions I had, demonstrating a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. She always went out of her way to assist happily, even when it meant stopping another task in order to ensure guest needs were given priority. Overall, my experience was excellent, and I would not hesitate to stay at Comfort Inn Naugatuck again in the future.

We were double charged for our room. It has been 5 days and we still haven't been able to get the problem corrected. My credit card company is helping me fight it. The room was average, breakfast was below average, and some shady people seemed to live there or frequent there for "other purposes".

I had originally tried to cancel my reservation, seeing as it was still before the 24-hour time limit (9:49pm Sat - 2:40 pm Sun). But they said they still couldn't because the 24-hour time limit had expired. So I had to suggest to them if we could just do one night and they were able to. I'm still disappointed with how the cancelation was handled. All things considered, the staff was nice and the rooms were very clean

This hotel reeks of marijuana. Every time I entered the hallway or used the elevator, there was a strong odor of ganja. Disgusting! While I was sitting in the breakfast room, I was approached by a police officer who rudely demanded my name and started questioning me about a crime. What is going on in this town? While I was away from the room, housekeeping came in and cleaned out my fridge and stole my bottled water. When I complained to the front desk, the woman refused to make it right or compensate me in any way. I'd have been mollified if she just offered me bottled water as a replacement, but instead, I got a flat refusal! What are these people doing in the hospitality business? This all happened within the first day of a 3 night stay, and I'm starting to see why the hotel insists on payment in advance - because people would leave after being treated this way! Avoid this place! Update: I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of a man grunting and a dog whining piteously. I'll let you connect the dots. Brings a new meaning to "pet friendly hotel." It was coming through the wall so loud it sounded like it was happening in my own room!

I as a force of habit stay at comfort inns or comfort suites. I travel a lot, 1n 2023 I had 141 nights in these hotels, and so far in 2024 I have had about 115 nights. This is the first one with bo microwave in the room. I depend on that as when I check into a hotel I want to relax, not have to go the lobby if I want to heat something up, or make some popcorn.

I needed a place, at an affordable price, last minute and the Comfort Inn in Naugatuck - Shelton did just that. Not only was I greeted at 11 pm, but taken care of swiftly! Definitely recommend.

Over $700 a week each room should have a microwave but they don't. You have to come to the lobby to warm up food. What a joke. I will never stay here again.

The service was horrible and the rooms were not clean. The hotel room that I was placed in had roaches crawling on the bed and on the floor. When this issue was brought to management nothing was done to address it at all. I would not recommend staying here at all.
