Comfort Inn Monterey Peninsula Airport - Hotel in Monterey - 1200 Olmsted Rd, USA

The hotel is located within walking distance of the airport. Do note that there are really no restaurants or shops close by, and at night the streets around it are a bit dark. You check in at a very compact head house which also doubles as the breakfast area. The rooms are spread out amongst four two-story buildings. We had a room with two queen beds. It was sizable, functional and clean. The lighting was good with residential-style recessed lighting. The sink is outside the bathroom and the bathroom itself is quite big. Beds were comfortable. Do note that the rooms are not equipped with A/C but has a old-school style heater. |Breakfast was ok ( in line with other Choice hotel properties). We found the front desk staff to be professional and friendly. Compared to other hotels in the area, we thought the rate was reasonable and overall the property offered good value for our family.

Standard stay at comfort inn. Lady at the front desk was super nice. Basic breakfast with waffle maker, toast, eggs, etc. Coffee is so so. I had a corner room which was nice; bed was comfortable. Ample parking. Was farther from downtown Monterey than I preferred but Monterey is small so only 10minute drive so this was not a deal breaker and I knew that going in. I did hear some plane noise early in the morning (6am maybe?). Overall, basic accommodations, clean and great price. Would stay again.

I highly recommend Comfort Inn in Monterey. My room was quite spacious, very clean and comfortable, and the quiet was lovely and just what I needed after a long day. The staff is friendly, efficient and welcoming. The room rate was reasonable and well worth the value I received. I will definitely stay there again should the need arise.

We had some water issues at home and needed a place locally for a day. The location was close to our home, and the room was very clean, quiet, and just what we needed to freshen up. Will recommend to friends in the future when visiting the area.

Rooms were updated and clean. The grounds were very well maintained and I enjoyed our stay. The breakfast area is small and I was disappointed we couldn't eat a couple of the morning because it was packed. More Togo options we can take back to the room would be nice. Overall I would recommend this property.

We only stayed one night but enjoyed it very much! We had a first floor two queen room and it was nice & spacious with a unique & wonderful layout! The room and property were so clean. I am from a smaller city and loved that this hotel feels as if it is a bit out of the busier parts of town while still being such a short drive to the main attractions. After our long drive we were greeted by Katrina at the front desk. It had been a very stressful trip and her welcoming smile was breath of fresh air! I worked in hospitality for many years and am quite a stickler about customer service. Katrina has great customer service and is a great asset to this company! I highly recommend this property for many reasons and though I do not think we will be back to Monterey any time soon I have no doubt in my mind this is where we will be staying!

This is my second time staying here. You cannot beat the value for this hotel anywhere in Monterey. The rooms are VERY spacious, clean, and comfortable. We have two children under two and we could easily fit a stroller, crib, and all their belongings. Many of the rooms have a balcony to sit out and enjoy the nice coastal weather. They even have a mini fridge and microwave. It’s less than a 10 min drive to everything you’d want to do in Monterey. Breakfast is included, and there’s plenty of options to choose from. The staff are very kind and the facilities are well maintained. Considering how much other hotels in Monterey charge and how many fewer amenities they offer, this “2-star” hotel is a hidden gem.

Monterey is rarely very warm, even in the summer. Hence, our room had no air conditioning. Also, lacking is both a hot-tub and a pool. Again, the generally cool weather makes a swim less enticing. We visited on a typical cool July day. We did not mis either of them. On the other hand, the enormous rooms, including a massive bathroom with two vanities and two sinks, enormous balconies overlooking beautiful landscaping, fresh and varied complimentary breakfast, romantic fireplace in some rooms, nice furnishings, and many other amenities more than made up for the lack of a pool for both me and my wife. My wife was especially pleased. I have already recommended it to a friend of mine and plan on visiting again.
