Comfort Inn JFK Airport - Hotel in Jamaica - 132-15 150th Ave, USA

On August 30th 2024 I stayed in this hotel. Worst mistake of my traveling life. They gave my room away but had one room available, a room with no working air condition. Staff was what made the event bearable. They were good. Here is my story. 20 days prior to arriving at JFK I booked reservations at this establishment. My plane was delayed in another city. To be pro-active, I called ahead to explain. I arrived at the hotel at 2:00 a.m. I was told that my room was available and they had received my note of my late check-in. I was given a room key and headed up to the designated room. Inside that room was somebody else sleeping in my bed. I went back downstairs to explain and was given the only room they had left. I went up to that room to discover that there was no air conditioning and the room was extremely uncomfortably hot. I went to check in counter again and was told, that was all they had left. I called numerous other hotels but was not able to find another room. 2 hours of sleep and had to start my busy day.

This is located across from the sanitation department. I didn't see any rodents but I'm terrified of them. No parking provided by the hotel. Once the employees started going home around 2pm, I found a spot on the street. I drove around for an hour. Afraid of losing my parking spot I took a taxi to my event. The room was nice but small but I was alone so it was ok. Customer service was pretty good. The people was pleasant. I wouldn't stay here again bc it was $321 for one night and there was no parking provided. China inn restaurant has some great tasting food and deliver quickly. Food was still steaming hot.

Proximity to the airport is a big plus. Surroundings to the hotel are not good, near industrial area, dumpsters Staff is overall okay except one South Asian lady, who was curt and rude during most of our interaction. We had signed up for the shuttle bus at 7pm. We came 20mns early. At 650pm when we prompted her of our pickup, she nonchalantly asked us to run ourside and catch the waiting shuttle as it could leave anytime!!! At other occasions too, found her to be quite cold.

This is a hotel located by the airport, so set your expectations accordingly. ||The room was clean and tidy, the staff very friendly and informative. If you want more then you may have to pay a little more.||I have read a few reviews about the hotel shuttle, but my experience was that it was the first bus I saw when I got to the Hotel Transfers area at Federal Circle station. When I checked in, the guy on reception immediately told me I needed to book my return shuttle on the day before departure, I did that. Simple.||Breakfast is a grab bag (cereal, bagel, juice carton), but it’s an airport hotel.

Hotel was ok for quick overnight before a early flight. It was remodeled which made up for its location and walk down from street level to front door of hotel. Staff was Great at Check in and check out.. Location was very very close to JFK which turned out better than expected. They do have shuttle service

The people working at the front were nice. Beyond that it was a bad experience. The room was dirty, there was hair everywhere. It was incredibly loud, it sounded like the planes were taking off from inside my room. The breakfast was not good at all. I tried to get some orange juice and only water dispensed from the machine. The shuttle service was extra terrible. I was told I couldn’t put my large bag into the back because it wasn’t a suitcase, which makes no sense. There was no where to sit and no handle bars so it was a very uncomfortable ride. I would NOT recommend this hotel and will not be returning.

I wish I could give this place a 0 star! We were really disappointed with our stay here. The front desk guy was absolutely had no idea about customer service and could even give us a parking spot for which we were ready to pay. He mentioned lot is full when it was clearly empty and it was raining pretty hard and we had 2 kids with us and about 10–12 bags need to be unloaded from the car. We were to go on a 16 hr flight next day and were not able to rest property at all because of this gong show. Overall, it didn't meet ANY OF OUR expectations, and we would highly NOT recommend it based on this experience.

The reason we stayed here is because of a long layover at JFK airport for our next international trip. $220+ on a weeknight but we expected that, its New York. Make sure you reserve your airport shuttle right at check in, seats are limited. Christie assisted us at check in, and she was so awesome. She was by herself, and was assisting everyone in a friendly, timely manner. She gave us all the information we needed as far as food options for delivery, shuttle service, wifi, and breakfast. I went downstairs to go to the gym, and she had a line of about 10 people, and she still managed to assist everyone with a great attitude. The location was great, the airport shuttle can only take 11 passengers so its first come first serve, I am glad we got there earlier. Would definitely recommend! And Thanks Christie for being awesome, I pray she gets the recognition she deserves.
