Comfort Inn Grand Island North - Hotel in Grand Island - 3535 W State St, USA

Stayed here for a few days between christmas and new year's. My mother had passed away the month before and my sister and I were there to take care of some final details. Was originally supposed to check in the evening on 12/26 but due to the weather, we stayed that night in Omaha. However, I wanted to make sure we would have a room to settle in the following morning when we made our way to GI, so I called the hotel and asked to be checked in as originally planned. The front desk was very helpful and we were so glad to find a warm room to drop our things in when we arrived before having to deal with such difficult matters. I ended up being sick the whole time we were there so we did not partake of any amenities (pool, gym, breakfast) but the rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel was central to everywhere we needed to be and that was very helpful.

I am use to stay at Hilton brand hotels but after reading reviews decided we would stay here. WOW!! I was blown away not only on how friendly the staff was but how immaculate my room and the public areas were. My husband stated he thought it was better than a few of the Hiltons we have stayed at.

We were told on the phone that they accepted dogs. When we arrived, the rude lady behind the desk rolled her eyes and said, " Not another one!" She couldn't even cancel our reservation. I was charged $130 for being turned away. We went down the street to Days Inn and were given a great room on the first floor. We also received free breakfast!

Great place to stay after a long day of driving. It's a little ways off the highway, but was worth the extra miles. Located in a great area. Room was clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding! Highly recommend. Will stay here again when in the area. Staff was friendly.

Positive: The room was clean, the staff very friendly. The breakfast was good although we got downstairs late and there wasn¿t a lot left. Overall a very pleasant stay. Negative: It was a little farther from the highway than we had planned.

The halls smelled clean. The first room we were given smelled like smoke and it was a non-smoking room. Luckily we were moved to a room that didn’t smell as bad and we ran out diffuser. There was a smoke detector right above the bed with a bright light all night. The curtains were short, so lights from the parking lot were shining in our room all night. All the sound from the hallway of all the loud people came right in the room - they were not muffled at all. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower was good. Love that the sink was in the room and the toilet and shower were in their own little room.

01.2024 Very nice location. Chipotle and other place to eat are nearby. Property is not brand new, but in good shape.
