We were driving from Monterey and decided to spend the night in this town after seeing how cute and fun it was. Last minute I was able to book a room and was pleasantly surprised to see how clean it was. There were no issues and the front desk was helpful. Would definitely recommend for an affordable spot with prime location!

Never stayed at a Comfort Inn but this seemed like a great option for the price in Carmel. We stayed in the King Suite, which I think there was only one at the end of the building and it had a higher ceiling, more windows and was a little more spacious. Everything was clean and service was good. The Adirondack chairs on the balcony just outside the room were nice for sitting outside with the breakfast right below. The breakfast was typical cheap hotel breakfast but we didn’t expect much else. There was not a smart TV or and real amenities but we mostly booked for the location. It was an easy walk downhill to the beach and anything you’d want to hit in Carmel. We had no issue parking. Would stay again

We are here for 2 nights but were so surprised that I had to review it immediately. I booked the least expensive option, 1 King and were given room #50, bottom floor 2 doors from lobby. There is a sound machine playing " ocean" as we walked in and the room smelled fresh and clean. Simple room, with a pretty photo glass of the ocean, 60" flat screen tv and a standing floor a/c unit in the closet if you need it. Charming place, sweet bfast and in the heart of town, and Comstock cottages.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights while on a quick trip to Carmel and we loved our stay! The front desk was very nice and helpful, the rooms were comfortable, especially the beds! The hotel has cute little touches like a nice seating area where we could do work and sit in the sun, and the room doors were dutch doors, which was so cute! We had no issues with parking, and were able to find a spot every time we returned. The real benefit of this place is the location, it's RIGHT downtown, literally 20ft from the main strip of Carmel so it was so easy to walk everywhere, including the beach! We recommend trying Bruno's Market that is just steps behind the hotel, it's a cute local market that has great deli food! Carmel can be expensive, but this is a great affordable option if you don't need a lot of frills! Highly recommend!

Positive: The location was excellent. Negative: The lamps outside each room were on all night which wouldn't have been a problem if the black out curtains were floor to ceiling. Instead they were short curtains that only covered the windows letting in light above and below.

I am usually not a choice hotels person. I was worried about selecting this hotel for my stay. However, it was amazing. Smaller hotel (which we liked), rooms are generously sized, super clean and the location!! I can't say enough about location. Close to everything and walkable! The only downside was parking. There aren't many spots and you will be vying for a spot. I will say that it always worked out and we parked on the side street and then would move when a spot came open. Good continental breakfast. Would stay here again!

We stayed here one night after a day trip from Cambria. It is a bit tricky to find the entrance and parking is very very challenging. We arrived about 30 minutes before check in and there was nobody there and the office was closed, I assume to keep people from checking in earlier than 3. The rooms were surprisingly nice with lovely tile on the bathroom floor. The size was decent and did not feel cramped at all. Stay on the second floor if possible as the breeze is lovely and along with the room fan, it made for the best night of sleep on our six day California trip. It could not be more conveniently located, directly across the street from the shopping/restaurant strip. A short drive to Carmel Beach (also walkable however due to no sidewalks, caution is appropriate). It is very very reasonable considering local prices. I marked service low because there really was none to speak of.

You pay for being in Carmel for sure 😆 Room is rather basic. Hot water is available quickly. Never got the hang of the temperature control, to be honest. It looked to me that the pedestal heater was the main unit as adjusting the thermostat near the window did nothing. Parking limited, but additional parking available nearby, which we did not have to use. Wifi decent. So was the television. I forget the app used in it, but decent enough programming. There is no laundry on site. A nearby laundromat is about 2.5 blocks away. Location is convenient to a lot of shopping like Tiffany's, locally owned stores, and some galleries. It is really close to the main dine in restaurant cluster that is spread over several blocks in each direction. Market nearby but didn't check it our. Wine and liquor store is also very close by too. So the big gripe is pricing. It really is a 2 star motel. Location bumps it up some. The booking sites have it overrated, and the marketing exaggerations are plentiful too 🤣 I would come back, but honestly, I can't answer if there are better deals nearby. I do feel it is at least 30% overpriced, probably a bit more. My wife booked it, so I am unsure if there is better value elsewhere?
