Great for a quick stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The free breakfast is good. The staff are friendly and polite. The downsides, whoever they hired to repaint damages on the walls didn't do the greatest job at matching the colors as it is very easy to see spots that were repainted.
3.8. Nothing wrong with this hotel. The room had been updated with a new bathroom, walk in shower, no tub, new mirrors but the back of the bathroom door was worn and under the sink was stained but clean. The main room TV console was new but could not accommodate the height of the mini fridge so the fridge sits next to the unit and needed to be balanced properly. The desk is built into the TV console so they have eliminated the small table that used to sit by the windows. Not a huge thing for us but meant only one chair in a room with two beds. The swimming pool and hot tub were being resurfaced which was a disappointment. The reception told me it is mentioned in the amenities section of the hotel but in fact, they have removed any reference of a pool or hot tub. It does mention that the fitness centre is closed every day but Sunday. Odd. The beds were fine, clean and comfortable as was everything else in the room. No problems with the TV or internet. The breakfast was fine, eggs, sausages, waffles, toast, bagels, fruit, juice and of course coffee. There was nothing to complain about. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful which is all I need. I got an excellent price booking directly with the hotel so again, nothing to complain about. We are flexible with days so I booked a Monday night stay which was considerably better priced than a Friday or Saturday night. All and all, I got exactly what I expected except for a swim and hot tub.
Our room was disgusting…. It had mold and mildew all in the bathroom and in the ceiling… the sink had chipped nasty paint all in it. The shower didn’t even have a door so the water got all over the floor. The only good thing was the bed was comfortable. The front desk staff was nice . Also the pool wasn’t open or working and was not told . I definitely am really upset with the price I paid for this room… no upgrade or money back… asked to speak the manager or get their card they didn’t have one so I left my number and still haven’t heard back… I have stayed at super 8 motels cleaner than this! High recommend not staying here at all!
Ru-el was great. He worked the front desk. He did his best to correct any issues I presented to him. He went above and beyond assisting me with the clothes washer that wasn’t working well. It’s a 3 star hotel, but provided 5 star service.
Rocky start to check in as the room did not have a microwave as it should have. We were able to switch rooms but the tv didn’t work in the new one. Sweet girl at desk came and fixed it. Also there was no mention on the website that the fitness center pool was closed. Signs around hotel saying they were remodeling but not much evidence of that other than the signs. Good night’s sleep on comfortable bed even though we heard people walking about above us and could hear people talking. Breakfast area was the WORST! We arrived about 40 minutes after breakfast was started and the dining area lights were off and it was a cloudy day so it was depressing looking. Trash can was overflowing and no help in sight. No hot water. Orange juice was empty. Tables all dirty. I’m no knives available to spread cream cheese on bagel. Small sign said no pets allowed but a woman was in there with her dog. Overall this hotel needs help and perhaps new management.
This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed at. Would give negative stars if I could. The floor was so sticky and hadn't been washed in forever, our curtains were hanging off the wall. The bathroom was dirty and no toilet paper. There was mould and moisture issues in the room we were in, baseboards looked like they were soaked at one time. Window seals gone. There wasn't much to choose from at breakfast area and the hot water was cold. There was construction going on when we were there and the fitness centre, pool and hot tub were closed. Overall wouldn't recommend to anyone until they fully reno the rooms.
This room and hotel was horrible. The staff was great! My AC didn’t work. The staff said it can be finky at times. That’s great but when it’s set to 65 and the unit is pumping out heat…. This doesn’t work for me. The staff did offer another room. BUT I overheard the staff saying that half the AC/heat units do not work. That’s an issue. I did not want to get into another try this room and let’s hope it works. I would not stay here again. No amount of money would get me to stay here again. It’s a huge health and safety issue not to trust your AC unit during a heatwave. It was so hot it made me vomit in the middle of the night. Do not stay here. It wasn’t a cheap room. But this hotel needs to care for itself before trying to care for others.
The common areas of this hotel are not cleaned. Meaning the hallways and check-in area. Also, they have many long-term tenants that are way below par. Washer machine didn't work. 4tha worst hotel I have ever stayed in
Stayed at the Heliotrope for 2 days from the Midwest for a work-trip and loved this cute renovated boutique motel. It is situated right in the center of 3 great neighborhoodâs to explore with a great brewery and food trucks down the street. The roo
One of the better hotels to which Iâve been. Even better than some of the more expensive hotels in downtown Vancouver at which Iâve stayed. There is a complimentary drink and snack for all guests. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our roo
Our room had many space, air, light, itâs been very quite, with late check-out for all guests by noon. Itâs been extremely comfortable for this price, we usually stay at more expensive hotels, but weâve read the reviews and decided to stay at H

I loved this place! The inside was beautiful and thoughtfully decorated a It sounds like two brothers who were originally from Turkey own the place - but I totally overheard that, so I could be wrong. I had the cardamom coffee, my husband had the l
