Comfort Inn Bay City - Riverfront - Featured Reviews (1071)
The hotel staff was very friendly. The room, lobby and pool are very clean. The pool was nice and warm too. The bed and bedding was very cozy, tons of counterspace in the bathrooms, breakfast was awesome and the ladies that worked it were so kind! Great location for walking to downtown, uptown and crossing the bridge. The view of the river from our room was great! I stayed here for an affordable weekend vacation with my husband and I absolutely loved it. The only time we drove was to spend an afternoon at the beach at Bay City's Park which is an awesome place for kids, swimming, picnics and hiking. We drove over to walk out to Bigelow park, and it was absolutely beautiful. If you're looking for a good getaway right here in MI, this hotel and location is perfect!
Check in was easy with John. As soon as we entered our room (114) we were hit with a strong odor of body odor, and some type of perfumed spray. But, the BO was disgusting. We couldn't find a direct source or cause. Gave it a few minutes with the AC fan on, no help. Spoke with front desk who came to room. He said he couldn't smell anything. He said all rooms were filled and couldn't move us his only option was to refund us and we could find other lodging. A very unfortunate experience.
Man, I can’t thank you guys enough. I arrived around 9am after driving all night, I was really needing to get some rest, so I asked for a early check in. let me tell you Amanda got me in by 10 AM and was extremely kind and understanding. I truly cannot thank you and your housekeepers enough. This has always been my go to hotel for the past 2 years, this right here is prime example of why. Not to include the amazing location. Thanks again guys🙏
Positive: The breakfast staff was friendly and energetic. The food was good. Negative: In a four day stay, the room wasn?t cleaned once and we had to ask for towels. The hallways and our room smelled like marijuana for most of the stay.
Our stay was great! The staff was very polite, friendly, and had suggestions of where to go and what to do. No issues with the room, and their was a good selection of food at the breakfast bar. This was our first time to Bay City, we would definitely stay here again!
I can't say enough about the wonderful staff at this hotel. My husband recently had to be hospitalized for heart surgery in Bay City. My stay was day to day and the staff assured me to take of me, and they did! Special Thank You to the manager, Michelle, the desk staff Noelle and Amanda, and the breakfast lady Marci. They were so kind and understanding, I can't thank them enough. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! More hotels should treat their guests like this Comfort Inn.
There’s a smell. I’m not sure if it’s just old people or fecal matter, but it’s in the hallways. The carpet doesn’t go all the way to the walls. Accessible rooms are provided a bath chair, not an accessible shower, and did I mention the smell? Musty, crumbling, and so not worth what I paid for the room. I guess it doesn’t have bed bugs, so it has that going for it. The sheets were pilled and gritty feeling. There were no bath towels provided-I had to dry off the best I could with a hand towel and go ask the front desk for some bath sized ones. The front desk worker was friendly and helpful. How this place has 4 stars is beyond me!!!
Our stay here was pretty good. My friend group had 3 couples and two others between 3 rooms and we all had a good time the rooms were nice for the price and we enjoyed the morning breakfast and the pool in the afternoon as well as the very nice staff.
Hotel is good. My only complaint is the breakfast the taters are soggy and eggs are not good. I did like the bacon but realized it's hickory smoked and I'm allergic to hickory and had a reaction. Probably should label it as a warning
Awesome local coffee shop! I really enjoy having in this area of Bay City. The baristas are always so friendly every time I come in. The coffee is very flavorful, and the prices are reasonable!
