Comfort Inn & Suites Sequoia Kings Canyon - Featured Reviews (1310)
After reading so many negative reviews, we weren’t expecting the best stay, but it ended up being great! Though it had signs of wear, Our room was very clean. It was normal comfort inn quality. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was good. We liked having the pool area to use after a hot day hiking. The pool area was very clean. The best part is the location. I would definitely recommend a stay here when visiting the national park.
We stayed 3 days and enjoyed it. The pool area was great with comfy lounge chairs and yard games. Beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet. Breakfast had a lot of choices. While the hotel is a little dated, it is a great choice in the area. The best part of our stay was the staff. Everyone I interacted with was so friendly. Jude was especially great! Well stay again if we return to the area!
Woke up to ants all over the room this morning. Manager Joesph stated outside building was sprayed the other day. Only offered 20% discount l. I asked for full refund of the one night. Also filed a complaint with corporate. Stated he would have to talk to ownership about this but I’ve never had a manager state he or she would have to talk to the owner. First time staying at Choice and probably be the last. Manager was also hypocritical getting mad at me for interrupting him with questions but it was okay for him to interrupt me. Door was also difficult to get into but after a long drive and switching rooms the first time because of a mold smell to the room having ants, I wasn’t too concerned about an issue with the door. He was trying to imply that perhaps we could have changed rooms again and maybe not had ants?? Who knows…
We had a good experience. The staff was nice. Rooms were decent size. Hot water was a bit slow but it was fine. Breakfast was decent but very busy. The location is very good. Walking distance to grocery, restaurants, gas stations. We did not use the pool but it looked clean and busy
This has to be the best spot to stay near Sequoia national park. The room I was in was on the 3rd floor, front. Room was nice, bed was comfortable, the shower was great and the AC pumped out cold air! The staff were all very nice and professional. The gentleman at the front desk (tattooed) when arrived was very friendly and welcoming. When checking out, He thanked me for staying at the hotel and invited me to come back and stay again. Thank you to him for being the first and last person I saw at the hotel. I have nothing bad to say about my 4 night stay at this hotel. I recommend the comfort Inn to anyway passing through or wanting a weekend getaway.
Great location considering it's just outside of Sequoia. We could drive up to the General Sherman tree spend some time there and get back in around 2 hours. The rooms were nice and spacious. Slightly old building, but we just stayed the night and it was fine for us. They had a basic breakfast. Seating is tight and it can be hard to find a spot during peak breakfast time. They have a nice little pool area and a little spot for kids to play. It's a good spot for families with kids, looking to explore Sequoia National Park.
If your goal is to see the National Park, be advised it’s a 60 minute drive to the Giant Forest and 75-90 minutes to The Sherman Tree. The road is 10-25 mph all steep, curvy and full of blind curves. Stay inside the park for a better experience. 1) Call me crazy, but I prefer hotels that let me sleep through the night. When I got up to pee, the motion sensor in the bathroom turned the lights fully on!!! How idiotic. Most nights I can fall asleep immediately but the bright lights kept me awake for longer. 2) I prefer hotels that clean the tub before guests arrive 3) The WiFi is super slow 4) The breakfast area is too small for the number of guests. Prepare to eat standing up.
Hotel needs a deep and complete renovation. There is no housekeeping unless you stay 3 nights minimum Hotel and Room carpets are dirty and old. Rooms are old and there is a smell of humidity. If you need extra towels you must go to the front desk and request them. First and last time I stay at this hotel. The rate too high for what the hotel offers. The hotel does not have a restaurant. Even though all the above, the manager and the staff were friendly with good disposition.

This place is simply wonderful. The location is fantastic, the service is superb, and the rooms and cabins are cute and cozy. Stayed here for the second time, a year after the first. We were in the Hummingbird cabin this time, which is a perfect cabi
Gorgeous mountain views the sound of the river flowing downstream was so relaxing. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes for the walk. Parking is limited.
The very first stop at the Sequoia National Park is the Tunnel Rock. Tunnel Rock is a giant flat granite rock that has been dug and transformed into a tunnel. In the past cars could be driven through the tunnel, not anymore though. But you can walk u
Great local place next to the river. You can watch the rafters float by while having your meal. Super friendly staff. I had breakfast and my eggs were perfect. A simple but rare feat. Definitely go when in the area.
