Comfort Inn & Suites Saratoga Springs - Hotel in Saratoga Springs - 17 Old Gick Rd, USA

We have been travelers for many years. We have been impressed with the attention to detail at this hotel. We stayed at this hotel when it was a Best Western many years ago. We visited in the fall and loved sitting by the fireplace and having hot cocoa. The renovations by new owners are wonderful. The business center isn’t open as yet. There is 24hr hot coffee, hot tea, hot cocoa are available in the lobby. So, in colder weather you can sit by the lit fireplace with a hot drink. |Breakfast was complimentary and nice addition. |Nikki at the front desk was very welcoming. She explained everything about the hotel to enhance our stay. Housekeeping is available every day. The staff in housekeeping were very through in cleaning. We chose to just have clean towels every morning. Our room was immaculate when we entered. We did not have any ants or other insects. We know that during hot weather the smell or unwrapped food can attract insects. Hopefully, we won’t have any, since we were anxious to review the hotel ASAP, even during our stay. |The complimentary shuttle to the racetrack is available. We took advantage of this service. The driver- John was very helpful with suggestions about Saratoga Springs events. We left on time to the track. He picked us up with an umbrella because of the intermittent rain storms. Staff were all friendly and aimed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Service was almost immediate. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The newly renovated Inn was gorgeous, the best choice for our short getaway to a remarkable part of the country.

Location and cost brought me here. The breakfast was decent, many options. My only complaint is the smell. The main entrance smells like dirty water and mold, was rather humid and warm inside as well. The room I was in had a different strange smell that I cannot describe. So I would highly suggest the manager look into correcting the issue of the main lobby stench (I think it may be from very old ice machines but am unsure). I would stay here again if I came to the area.

Very disappointing. For over $300/ night, got zero housekeeping over 4 days- they even messed up supplies requested. They put in sneaky extra charges that you have to be alert to get deleted. Hallway in bad condition and smelled damp. Very difficult to get internet reception. Good news- beds v comfortable, desk staff v nice- despite inserting sneaky charges!

I was torn between rating this place a 3 or 4. 3.5 seems right. Room seemed clean, but had ants all over the food and drink we had in the room. The second major concern was a lack of grab bar/s in the bathtub/shower. Very slippery and dangerous. The staff were all friendly, and helpful.

Lisa at the front desk was very polite and helpful. The rooms were clean. Renovations were going on but everything was still very nice

They were under construction newly renovated room was good location is a bit outside of Saratoga so be prepared to drive or take an Uber

No pool, I guess there used to be one. Everything is very loud and not very soundproof, you can hear every person coming down the hall, sounds like people are stomping down the hall, can hear people talk, and you can hear every door around shut, good luck sleeping
