Comfort Inn & Suites Norman near University - Hotel in Norman - 840 Copperfield Dr, USA

We arrived on Saturday and had booked a group of rooms several weeks earlier. We had booked 4 rooms, but they had us down for 5. The reception lady wanted to argue about that, but I explained to her that we and each of our 3 kids families needed rooms, so that was fairly easily resolved. The man ahead of us was with a church group so was trying to explain something to her and she responded with, “I know the drill!”, which was extremely rude. In the evening , not all of our group had returned and my granddaughter was needing in their room to get her swim suit. We asked about getting in and that was not going to happen even though it was clear we were all together and I had booked the rooms. Once again, just rude. When we were checking out the next morning, I asked for a receipt and she gal said she couldn’t give me one because I hadn’t booked the rooms. She said this before she even asked who had the reservation. I asked if others got receipts and she said she couldn’t give them receipts since I had booked the rooms. I told her I didn’t understand that since we all paid separately. Her response was, “Well, I’m sorry you don’t get it! She’s lucky I didn’t just jump over that counter! My husband spoke up then and we left. As for our rooms, my son and his family had a toilet that leaked and their shower handle was broken. Also, we had no extra toilet paper in the room. As for the breakfast, our kids reported that they were out of almost everything Saturday morning when they got down there and would only bring out a few of each item. We didn’t bother trying breakfast there Sunday morning. Cracker Barrel was too close. We have stayed in many different Choice hotels and have NEVER been treated so poorly.

Positive: It had a pool and a workout room. Comfortable bed, decent shower. Negative: No towel bar at sink in bathroom, very stark room. Average breakfast offerings, bananas/apples would be nice.

Decent hotel, was almost deserted when we checked in. Rooms were very spacious and clean, but the showerhead bizarrely only worked in quick bursts. Breakfast was ok but not very impressive compared to some other hotels. Located pretty close to a large abandoned building so seems like some safety concerns; you should bring in valuables from your car into your room.

We arrived at 3pm for check in. The room we reserved (weeks prior) was still dirty when we walked in, beds unmade, trash from the previous person. They acted like they were doing us a favor by giving us another room, which was right next to the noisy elevator. This was only after the front desk person walked up to the room to confirm that it was in fact, uncleaned. The grounds crews were mowing at 8am. They didn't allow late checkouts. The front desk woman was excessively rude. There was also what looked like blood and snot on the wall outside of the elevator on the floor we were on. As platinum members, it was one of the worst Comfort Inns we've stayed at. This location uses way more points than most, and was definitely not worth it.

Not recommended. Could use routine maintenance and updating, but it seems that has been deferred. I have stayed in hotels that cost half as much and were better maintained. Issues: ...sink popup not attached to anything ...rusting door frame in bathroom ...bright green spots on bathroom wall and door frame (toothpaste?) ...loose bathroom clothes hook ...loose arms on desk chair ...sticking deadbolt, wondered if I could exit my room ...fitness room deadbolt broken, door would not close ...stained hallway carpet ...finally, missing wall molding in front lounge area

My father stayed at this hotel from 12-14 august and it was very uncomfortable. The staff was non co-operative. The rooms smelt bad and the TV remote wasn’t working either. Nobody replaced it even though it was requested. Never coming back here again.

Positive: The hotel is reasonably priced and off the beaten path. Negative: The hotel A/C was off on our floor. Very hot getting from the elevator to our room.

security lock on the door was broken towel hooks in the bathroom were missing carpet frayed edges showing in the room. stains on the curtains and lamp shade. no additional blankets and pillows available in closet. continental breakfast was same every day lacked variety. stayed here on a busy norman weekend and they had increased their prices due to availability in the area well beyond their value.
