Comfort Inn & Suites Midway - Tallahassee West - Hotel in Midway - 215 Commerce Blvd, USA

Customer service was good. I heard a few employees in the lobby venting about their work schedules and speaking in a manner that guest shouldn't have to be subjected too, but hey this is a new generation so I guess it's okay. Room were clean, shower pressure was great and they serve a decent continental breakfast. Right across from the hotel is a barbershop and wings spot that attract a lot of younger locals. Warning be careful because that area is sketchy. What is great is that they have a ton of restaurants minutes away.

This was probably one of the worst motels we've ever stayed at… We wanted a Jacuzzi suite So traveling I booked the room… We get there my husband goes to the car to get all the luggage I go to the room and there's no Jacuzzi two rooms later we finally get a Jacuzzi tub… The kid at the front desk said he was new and had us go to three different rooms before we could find Jacuzzi room… I went to get the Jacuzzi tub and there was lukewarm water at best. We called the front desk. The kid said he would call the manager… He called us back about five minutes later and said give it five minutes. There should be plenty of hot water… I Waited at least a half an hour, and there was no more hot water… He called and said that they had someone come to fix it so before i went to bed, I decided to take a nice hot soak… There was still no hot water… There was no hot water in the sink or the bathtub either… I called back down To the front desk and the kid said he wanted to move Us into a different room… By this time it was 11 o'clock at night and we were already ready for bed…he said To call and talk to the manager in the morning... right above us there was the Indy 500 going on… There was people with children running back and forth and back and forth.. The next morning I got up went to wash my hair and lo and behold. There was hot water in the shower. I didn't have time at this point To get into the Jacuzzi because we were leaving I went down to check out tried to talk to the manager manager and they said they would have them call me been over a week now… I have tried to call and they refuse to put me through to the manager… They said he does not have a voicemail so they won't put me through… I have emailed because I did take a card… I don't feel we should have to pay for a full price Jacuzzi room when the hot water didn't even work… I'm very easy to get along with, but I'm getting really frustrated. I cannot talk to the manager of this property… If you ever have any problems there, you will not get any help believe me… I would never stay at this motel again ...

breakfast is very bad. The employee is sullen. The most disgusting egg I have ever eaten in my life was in this hotel. the coffee was very bad. I couldn't have breakfast for 3 days. It was very bad and there was no room cleaning. receptionists were good. There is no shampoo in the room. It is necessary to inform the reception for cleaning. You need to take care of the room cleaning. Quality Inn hotels are better in this regard.

Well, we weren’t sure about this place based on the reviews, but we gave it a chance. There is such a big difference between two and three star hotels vs. four star. This is definitely a two to three star. In these types of hotels, you get that smell. You know the smell, the one they try to cover up with air fresheners and setting the room temperature to sub zero. It’s the nasty mold/mildew smell. This is an older, tired hotel. If there are any profits, they haven’t been going back into the building. We survived the night, only to find an officer standing in our hallway the next morning as we were checking out. Apparently there was a death in one of the rooms. On the plus side, the front desk staff were very friendly. I would not return here until they renovate though, and we will not make the mistake of staying at a property rated less than a four star guest rating.

Room was large. Got a Priceline Express deal so the price was awesome. Breakfast was so-so but it was included. Bed was comfy, water pressure was good. A couple of large ants came out on the corner wall late at night but they kept to themselves so they didn't bother us. There were no bed bugs or any signs of other creepy crawlers., We were just passing through so it was a decent value for the night.

Every woman that works there has an attitude, more particularly, the women that work in the dinning area. They stand right outside the front door smoking so you have to walk through a cloud of smoke just to get in the building. The rooms have a smell. There was mold on the interior of the lamp shade. I honestly will never stay there again.

The front desk staff were wonderful. We enjoyed the breakfast. The beds were not comfortable and even though I booked 2 queens we had 2 double beds. I had to verify and the hotel states only queens and kings but even my teens were ontop of each other. Would opt to stay at a different location next time.

Positives: -Room relatively clean -Comfortable bed Negatives: -Musty smell in room covered with something…was bad early on, but after a couple hours, got used to it. -AC unit buttons worn and had to push extremely hard to adjust -There is no option to keep AC fan…see next -No gasket between doors on my room and adjoining room which allowed sound from that room into our room -The person in adjoining room had TV blaring all night long. Called the front desk to ask them to remedy the situation and nothing happened. Had there been a “fan on” option, at least we could have covered the TV sound. Instead, we could only sleep when the AC unit came on, and when it went off, woke up. It was a horrible nights sleep to say the least. -Last, the fellow who checked me in was not friendly at all…I felt like I was bothering him.
