Comfort Inn & Suites Hays I-70 - Hotel in Hays - 1001 E 41st St, USA

Stayed here on two different nights within a week. Location is right off the highway. Rooms need a bit of upkeep here and there, though mostly they are in good shape and clean. We were in a two-queen bed room, which is on the small side. Bedding is comfortable, hot water works. Front desk staff is polite and want to make sure your visit goes well. It's not fancy, but we would stay here again.

Had to switch rooms because the pull out mattress in the first one was soaked in urine. There was a skunk smell on the entire 2nd floor. The beds were comfortable, but we will not ever be staying here again.

We had two rooms. One of the rooms was double rented and we had strangers walk in on us. Our keys had to be remade. Once they rebooked our room they had reset the key code on the door. There are minor things to the rooms that needed to be looked at (one example the toilet paper holder in one of the bathrooms needed to be reset in the wall). The bathroom sink was in the common room outside of the bathroom itself. This was a little odd but it allowed one to get ready without the other shower steam covering the mirror. The staff was super helpful.

Affordable and great location. Property is older and a little run down but you can tell improvements are being made here and there. Good breakfast and great service! Thin walls so not for the light sleepers. Happy with our stay and would stay there again.

Looked like rooms had just had a face-lift. Very clean. New paint. Great breakfast. Slept soundly. Ample parking even for our trailer. Highly recommended.

Positive: Nothing Negative: Old, dirty, smells old, crumbs in the elevator, room smelled old and like dog pee we killed a bug in the room. Walls were chipped. Walls were dark gray carpet was nasty and old with big stains!

A very old, tired hotel. There was no water pressure to take a shower. The water just dribbled out of the shower head. Someone's dog chewed up the bathroom door and trim. The trim was not repaired. Breakfast was real weak! The dough dispenser for waffles was broken. Cannot give this place a recommendation!
